Hello from new NV3500 owner in Southern California

Recommended Posts

I recently Purchased a 2018 NV3500 5.6 Cargo

I have a Gazillion questions and will post them individually in the appropriate sub forums.

I have been a Ford e350 user for surf/camp/exploring/daily driver since 1968. I distinctly remembering seeing my first NV back in 2012? ish. I thought it was awesome.

I was right.

This is gonna be fun.

No regrets about buying a “new” 2012 NV. There is a lot of good info here.

In 1968, we had a ‘67 VW Bug with a roof rack and a canvas tent.

This Nissan forum is really quiet. I guess I should do my part and post something.

So, I purchased this 2018 NV3500 5.6 in July of 2024 after selling off my 2006 Ford e350 4wd high-top home build camper. I am no longer chasing waves in remote Baja California locations. The difference between this and the Ford makes the Nissan feel like a "New" van to me.

Quieter, more power, more headroom, arm room and leg room. The NV came with the full Adrian shelving system, cab divider and roof ladder rack. All of that stuff was ripped out on the first day along with the center console and floor mat.

I now have a clean slate to work with.

I will soon start posting about my build within the conversions sub forum.
