owe ring the Suspension?

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow NV'ers :)

We have a 2014 NV 3500 SL and we bought it for primarily family use (8 kids!) We are all finding the height to be a bit of an issue with all the little kids being unable to get in/out by themselves as well and not being able to fit it into our garage. Has anyone lowered (or researched) lowering the suspension on their NV? My husband and I are very interested but didn't know if it was doable and if the dealership or another shop would be best. We do not do any towing whatsoever, but I also don't want to tank the value of the truck. Thanks for any info/advice!

Have you considered running boards?

I am about to install these this weekend. They look good in the box right now. I will know soon how they look on the van.

edit - ahhhh I missed the not being able to garage it. That's a big deal...

KrAx78 posted some photo shop "chop" images of his van under Appearance back in August, 2014. He also mentioned putting on Infinity fx 18" with lopro tires. This combo may or may not lower your van enough to garage it.

PM him and he can tell you, or go to a nearby tire and/or suspension shop and check out what may work. Be aware that changing tires may lower rear tire psi and the TPSM will constantly let you know the psi is low.

Maybe you could call PRGproducts and get coilovers in the front that are shorter and something for the back.

They are a rep'd company PRG Products: (530) 268-2009

I know this thread is old but I think it would be cool to see a lowered NV.  I am sure any reputable air bag company could rig something up, they have done some pretty insane things.  The new gen actually ride halfway decent too.  It most likely wouldnt be very inexpensive since it would be custom but it may not be too crazy.

There are rear air bag kits for the NV but getting the front to lower would be the hard part as I haven't found any front air springs for the titan. I'd take it to an Air Lift Performance installer and see what they could put together. but I wouldn't hold my breath. Although If a company put together a package I'm sure they'ed have customers lining up out the door much like 4x4 conversion.
