CRC Posted March 30, 2015 I have a 2012 NV-2500SV that the back dome lights are dim when the doors are open. When you switch them to on they get brighter. RICK Posted March 30, 2015 my guess is the pin switch circuit feeding the light has a loose or corroded ground connection. i believe that the lights have a constant 12+ and when you move the switch on the dome lamp to on, you are giving it a good ground connection. i don't believe the switch is actually a 12 volt + signal, but rather a 12 volt - signal. might be wrong, but it's my guess as to how it works. my 2014 has 3 dome lites in the back. how many does yours have and are all 3 affected like this?
