AugustKC Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) I have a basic NV1500 with no cruise control, from what I understand the cruise in the NV is not a separate unit but is part of the computer brain of the vehicle, was wondering if anybody knows if I were to just buy the cruise control switch which fits on the steering wheel if there might be a chance my van might have the wiring for a cruise control already in it and ready to plug in to the switch, just not connected, maybe theres a tech out there that might have the answer. Chris_CommercialManager Posted April 2, 2015 You have a different ecm, throttle body, and harness per Nissan part numbers off of my factory parts programs. However, I have installed aftermarket with success many times with my one of my vendors. This should be a good starting point for you, contact them. If you end up doing it yourself it would be great if you keep this thread going and do a short how to for anyone else doing the same. :shift: Christopher

Daind Posted August 8 I bought an ebay cruise control switch thinking the same thing, as I have the absolute base model. My Nissan nv 2500 is so basemodel it doesnt even have a chip in the starter key. Since I had to change the airbag anyway, I added this switch to the existing vehicle and the cruise control seems to work like it was factory. now it is possible that before the the van was crashed before i had it they had changed the steering wheel completely and opted for a base model wheel. There was a harness connect inside the wheel that the switches hooked to. I have a 2012 NV2500 and used 2014 switches. things seem to work fine.
