captaincaveman Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) I am dealing with the swollen lug nuts issue, and purchased some new nuts off Ebay that are supposed to fit. They are the right style, how ever, the end that holds the wheel on is longer than the originals and don't hold the hub caps in place. From what I can tell, the tip of the nut is what is holding the wheel on, and the flat part is only holding the hub cover on/tight. Has anyone else had this problem? (Edit to add that the old nut shown has the chrome shell removed.) Edited December 7, 2024 by captaincaveman
captaincaveman Posted December 7, 2024 It turns out, the hard plastic washer on the old nuts needed to be put on the new nuts, and then it worked perfectly. If anyone else is looking for lug nuts for their van, I ended up going with these, and am pretty happy with them so far. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404472791142 1 Renzo reacted to this
Renzo Posted February 14 (edited) Thanks for the link. Did you just pry off the old washers? BTW how did you remove the chrome shell from original lug? Edited February 14 by Renzo err
