Glacierlily Posted Saturday at 05:29 PM We just installed a new trailer hitch on our 2020 NV2500 and got the proper hook-up kit for the trailer lights. In regards to the power wire that feeds up to the battery, what would be the best place to connect this wire since all of the wiring for this hitch seems to be very specific? Thanks for any advise. crusty Posted Sunday at 04:21 AM If you have the proper trailer wiring kit, there isn't anything going up to the battery. The harness has everything in it. Here are the instructions direct from Nissan https://www.nissan-techinfo.com/asistgc_1/USENG/diskdocs/1/T/H/1TH29.PDF Sounds like you have a tail light convertor box. They are trouble prone. I've had to use them in the past. They tend to fail in short order. Nissan's don't like them, they have been known to damage the BCM (expensive computer that runs the body and you can't live without it). The factory tow harness has all the circuits isolated correctly by engineers who designed the original wiring system. 1 radin2son reacted to this
