Gas Mileage

How is your MPG. I get 12.5 to 13.5, and have hit 14.6. The dash average MPG says about a mile better each time. Or you could say is one mile off actually lower than indicated. I am not over loaded and is a combined highway and city. I am not a speeder and am gentle on the pedal. I just turned 10K miles. Would like to hear from others on their MPG.

There are a few posts below in the Engine and Powertrain section. I would think the cool temperatures in Michigan would lower MPG. Things like winter grade gas may also decrease MPG. I have experienced 10% ethanol results in 10% less MPG.

I get 16.5 average with my 1500 sv low roof .Do you have v8 ? Mine is v6 .

I have a 2012 2500hd with the 5.6. It has almost 40,000 miles on it and I bought it in may of this year. This van has the worst gas milage ever. But I built a cold air intake kit for it and I'm still in the test phases. I can currently say my mpg's are now at 19 mpg at 65mph on the highway. I will receive well over 500 miles out a tank. Now I know there is not one single cold air intake kit for this van on the market. I call k&n and ask when one will come out. They responded with a no. We are not creating one for it. So I made one that I will be selling on eBay here. But I am looking for someone with a high top so I can have the readings off of it. I will build one. Any one interested in buying one. Email me.
