Ksh74c Posted July 27, 2015 So we purchased a 2015 Nissan NV 3500 SL a couple weeks ago. Love the van. Our 2012 Ford E350 is no comparison to this van. We just rolled about 900 miles on the odometer. Almost right away we started noticing a burning or hot oil smell only in the cabin. Nothing under the hood or under the van. It's gotten so bad that the kids complain about it in the back. Chris_CommercialManager Posted July 28, 2015 I wouldn't call it a burning oil smell but all vehicles will smell to some extent when new. There are rust inhibitors and sealants that are used that can produce a smell when heated. I have not however had a complaint like yours, especially at your mileage. Call your dealership please.
