ASD Dad Posted August 16, 2015 Anybody run into the issue with their phone just not pairing all of a sudden? Started two days ago and it is still acting up. My LG always pairs as soon as I start the van up and has worked great until now. I noticed a call come in and it didnt come through the radio as normal. Went into the phone menu and it asked if I want to connect to a current device. Said yes and it failed multiple times to pair. Deleted the phone from the radio and paired it again from scratch and it worked. Once. Next time I started the van it wouldnt pair again but does show in the saved devices still. Right now it wont pair automatically ever. If I force pair it will do so maybe 1 out of 10 tries. Rebooted the phone and did a reboot of the radio (hold down power button until it reboots). Nothing helps. Anyone else?
RICK Posted August 16, 2015 My 2014 drops it sporadically. But for the most part I loose the bluetooth when a second call comes through. It drops the bluetooth and I need to swap over to speakerphone. I still can't figure out why it doesn't show the caller id on the incoming, but it does show it on the outgoing calls. And of course I loose the gps when on the bluetooth phone, but if I switch to speakerphone, I can use the gps. Your 2015 and my 2014 are 2 different units. Rick. ASD Dad Posted August 16, 2015 Been messing with it today and it is worse! I will need to find the time to get it into the dealer. Now if and when I can get it to pair, notifications arent being pushed to the radio. Texts just come to the phone even with the text setting turned on with the radio. One out of 3 test calls into the phone only came through the radio. 2 out of 3 calls out worked. Zero texts worked out of dozens in testing. I had to take the dash apart to mount my brake controller for the camper. I dont want them messing with the wiring! I have it all nice and neat back there and things mounted the way I want. There is no way to get to the radio without taking that trim piece off so we'll see how it goes.
RICK Posted August 17, 2015 Out of curiosity, did you check Nissans list of compatible phones. Not that it really matters as the list was last updated in 2012. Just a complete joke of a so called technology package. Rick.

RICK Posted August 17, 2015 See if you can pair another phone. Maybe your andriod or apple did an update and messed with the settings. But if its anything like mine, its the head unit being old technology. Rick
