HuckFinn Posted January 11, 2016 I read in the owner's manual that the 110 inverter should not be used when the headlights or AC are in use. Since the van has DRLs and climate control, that would seem to be potentially any time the vehicle is moving. Am I missing something?
Great White Posted January 12, 2016 Good point. I have the cargo van and I know that you will only get the 400 watts at idle with no accessories going. When driving the watts will drop a pretty good amount, according to the electrical system tech I talked to. Sounds like the system is for working at a job site only and then to recharge laptop, etc. while driving. You may have a problem with high wattage stuff. RICK Posted January 12, 2016 100 watts max. when driving and 400 when parked. pretty weak system. i installed a true 2000 watt system in my sprinter which came factory with a second battery just for that purpose. Rick.
