  1. What is VOYO?

The World’s Most Advanced Connected Car Technology

We have developed the world's most advanced, aftermarket connected car system. At the core of the VOYO platform is the ability to acquire and utilize the large amounts of complex data produced by modern cars.

The VOYO controller is based on a specialized, high speed data logger that is typically used by auto companies in their development work.

VOYO connects to the OBD-II port of your car, generally located underneath the dash. Any car built since 1996 has one, and most of VOYO’s Standard Features will be supported in a wide number of cars.

For certain models/years of GM, Ford and Toyota, you will have the option to add our remote controlled Relays that increase VOYO's fuel savings and add unique security features. Additional makes/models are planned post Kickstarter.

Depending on the vehicle, you may also have the option to upgrade to our Premium Pack services. See below for more details on VOYO hardware, Standard Features, Premium Pack services and supported vehicles.

By the time your VOYO ships, you will be able to download the free VOYO phone App. It will provide you with a whole new digital experience and allow you to collect a wealth of information about your car as well as control its systems.

The App will also guide you through the set up process and confirm that VOYO is correctly installed.

The whole system is plug and play and is connected in under 2 minutes. No tools or automotive experience are required.

  2. How can I edit my profile picture? I have been trying to upload a different image but it either loads and loads and loads and never finishes or if I was able to select a new photo and then click on "done" it afterwards still shows the regular Nissan logo. Thanks for any suggestions!

you can click on the contact us page and we can change your photo if you like.  Generally, it needs to be 200px wide

  4. The Nissan NV Forum has two anti-spammer tools, however, despite best efforts, sometimes spammers still get through.

Here's a breakdown of how many spammers we caught attempting to get into the site during the past few months (June/July 2015):

  5. Don't hold your breath. Last time the moderator checked in was june 8th.

    Sounds just like nissan commercial.

    Rick

We check in via the back end.

The e-mail server failed during the last spam "invasion," so we didn't get the reports in a timely matter - our fault totally. As you can see, we addressed the problem pretty quickly today.

Moreover, we've installed some anti-spam software, but sometimes they still get through.

Spammers Stopped in June/July thus far.

  6. When we upgraded the site a few days ago, some of the anti-spam registration features were disabled and some spammers were able to register.  We have since addressed this problem and are looking to install new barriers as well.

If you encounter spammers on this site, please report the post OR contact us here.

Thank you for helping to keep this place clean and free of spam!  :2thumbs:

  7. If "reboot" means turning the phone off, then on, this did nothing. Over the course of a long road trip, I turned my phone off numerous times in no service areas. On my iPhone, the last post was 5/23. Going from mobile version to full version did nothing except I could read more recent posts. I could not sign in on either.

As of this post, still not working.

made some changes at 2:40 pm, est.  based on ticket support.  PLEASE see if this helps.  Sorry for the hassles.

  8. NYC Taxi of Tomorrow ruled legal by appeals court

    AutoBlog / Chris Bruce

The streets of New York City might be filling up with a lot more Nissans in the next few years. A New York appeals court ruled that the city's mandate to replace old taxis with a fleet entirely made up of the Nissan NV200 Taxi of Tomorrow was legal. The decision overturned a previous ruling that decided The Big Apple couldn't force cabbies to all purchase the same vehicle.

  9. New York's "Taxi of Tomorrow" Moves Closer to the "Taxi of Today" as Nissan Begins Production

    nissan-nv200-taxi-01.jpg

Nissan NV Forum – Production of the Nissan NV200 Taxi – New York's "Taxi of Tomorrow" – is now underway at the company's assembly plant in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

Nissan developed the new taxi, which is based on the NV200 compact cargo vehicle, to suit the specific demands of the more than 600,000 people who ride in New York City taxicabs every day.

In 2011, after a competitive two-year selection process, the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) of New York City selected Nissan NV200 as the exclusive taxi for the city.

    Manufacturing of the taxi
The Nissan taxi will roll off the line looking as if it's ready to be hailed. Preparations to launch production of the taxi in Cuernavaca entailed the challenge of modifying the production line to integrate exclusive taxi characteristics without affecting production volumes and while maintaining award-winning quality records. The Paint Shop added the exclusive New York taxi yellow color and new elements to achieve a perfect under-floor seal. The plant also added an exclusive afterline to complete taxi-specific manufacturing processes such as bodylines, side door windows and the vehicle's panoramic roof.

    New York's "Taxi of Tomorrow"
Designed from the inside out using input from New York taxi drivers, medallion holders, fleets and passengers, the Nissan taxi features more content tailored specifically to the unique needs of New York City cab service than ever before.

Nissan created its own "New York Avenue" at its Arizona proving grounds to replicate harsh conditions of New York City streets to rigorously test the NV200 taxi so that the suspension can be tuned specifically to NYC road conditions. Additionally, Nissan hired New York City cab drivers to drive test vehicles around the city, collecting data which was then used to refine the vehicle. In total, these drivers logged more than 155,000 miles – enough to cover every street in Manhattan more than 300 times.

Standard interior features and passenger amenities include:

    • Ample room for four passengers and their luggage, offering substantial improvements over current taxi models
    • Sliding doors with entry step and grab handles, providing easy entry and exit
    • Transparent roof panel, presenting unique views of the city
    • Opening side windows
    • Independently controlled rear air conditioning
    • Active carbon-lined headliner to help neutralize interior odors
    • Overhead reading lights for passengers and floor lighting to help locate belongings
    • A mobile charging station for passengers, including a 12-volt electrical outlet and two USB ports
    • Breathable, antimicrobial, environment-friendly, durable and easy-to-clean seat fabric, simulating the look and feel of leather
    • Flat, "no hump" passenger floor area for more comfortable ride

    Other notable vehicle features:

    • Proven 2.0L 4-cylinder powertrain, engineered to enhance the emission performance and fuel efficiency of the taxi fleet
    • 150,000 mile powertrain warranty
    • A low-annoyance horn with exterior lights that indicate when the vehicle is honking, so the horn is used less frequently
    • A 6-way adjustable driver's seat featuring both recline and lumbar adjustments, even with a partition installed
    • Unique driver's seat material and stitching to promote improved airflow
    • USB auxiliary audio input and charge port for driver
    • Standard navigation system with integrated rearview backup monitor
    • Hearing loop system for the hearing impaired
    • Driver and passenger intercom system

In addition, important safety features of the Taxi of Tomorrow include:

    • Only taxi ever to be safety tested and certified with full taxi partition
    • Front and rear-seat occupant curtain airbags, and seat-mounted airbags for the front row
    • Standard traction control and Vehicle Dynamic Control
    • Sliding doors to lessen risk of pedestrians, cyclists and other motorists getting struck by doors opening unexpectedly
    • Lights that alert other road users that taxi doors are opening

  10. Nissan NV200 Mobility Taxi adds a dose of accessibility to the new-look cab

Nissan has been making hay with its NV200 light commercial vehicle in New York. We've known since last year that the van will see service as a taxi in the Big Apple, and more recently, we learned that a variant will be kicking around to rescue ailing Gibson guitars. At its press conference this year, Nissan continued the onslaught with a wheelchair-accessible version of its NV200 Taxi. . . Read more here.
