Thanks guys, I think I'm going to go Trico as well.. so I guess I'm looking at somewhere around $10 a piece, so $20 a year in blades...
-
Ugh, I really hate to do that, but I guess that's the nature of where wiper blades are now. Refills are gone :( I was talking to someone the other day and they said they get their refills from Costco. I guess they bought the blade that can use refills...
-
So, I just got the wiper inserts... 288951PA0A but they don't fit the blade!!! Could it be that the last time we got the "wiper blades" replaced, they replaced the whole assembly with a different type? The inserts I picked up are the skinny inserts and the ones that are on the vehicle have this metal backing. I'll take pictures later on tonight and show you guys to make sure I'm not making crazy assumptions. Any feedback is appreciated. I was able to get the inserts for like $6.50 each.

Thanks axulsuv... I might have to take it back. The manual doesn't explain where one attaches the chain to. I guess I am picturing the chain going from the middle of the tire, hanging down "over" the tire and attaching it to the frame of the vehicle outside the tire? The tire is already mounted and yes, the valve stem is side up.

How to make the 2nd row rear-facing in the NV Passenger Van
dammitjim replied to Mazinbenny's topic in Interior
That is awesome! My kids are going to be thrilled if I do this! Are there any safety concerns? I'm thinking there is nothing wrong with this especially since the kids are going to be in car seat.- 7 replies

Can someone explain how the chain has to be attached to the spare tire? I took the car to get a new tire and they left the chain just hanging from the middle. Pictures would be even better!

Are we talking about new wiper blades or new wiper blade refills? I conside the wiper blades to be the whole arm and the refills just the rubber piece.
-
Yup, my wife just paid $30 for a set to replace the windshield wiper refills on our 2014 NV3500HD. I know I should have told her to do some research, but $15 for each refill? Is that normal? I think I saw that Advanced Auto Parts online has them for like $5 each. Whatever happened to 3 for $15?

Yeah, this is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I can't believe that it's all 1 piece and they didn't think to separate the 2 knowing it is an electrical item that is exposed and could break. The worse part is that as I look at a fix for this, I think this is going to look pretty ugly... if anyone else can chime in as to how they rigged this, please let me know! But for now, I'm starting to think I'm going to go in and just take that switch out and set a relay in there to turn off the sensors after a couple of minutes of the car turning on.

I just got our windshield replaced yesterday because while driving in North Carolina (road trip), something hit the windshield and it cracked it. Insurance covered it (I believe here in Florida insurance has to cover it 100%). The new windshield looks great, but I don't know why I feel that something is not right with regards to how it was installed. If one looks at the windshield from the hood, there is a big plastic piece at the bottom of the windshield that covers the bottom edge. Well, that plastic piece extends up a tad bit on each side. Do these plastic ends stick up a little or are they flush with the windshield? If someone can take a picture, I would greatly appreciate it! I am attaching a picture of another vehicle, but I have circled the area I am talking about. Thanks!

Has anyone changed their oil themselves? I have changed the oil on all my vehicles. If so, does anyone have any tips? I usually have issues reaching into the oil filter, taking it out and making a mess with the oil that comes out. Thanks!

$225 to replace what? I mean, what does $225 buy me? And thanks for the suggestion about them still working. I'll test that tonight with some tape or something. I know the sonar starts beeping the moment I start moving and I've had to disable it every time I start the car..
-
Did you ever get this resolved? We took a long trip along I-95 (put about 2,700 miles on our 2014 3500HD SL) and in South Carolina, my wife hit something on the road, which cracked our front license plate holder and took out both of the sonar sensors. After stopping at a gas station, I can see the sensor inside the bumper, but I don't know how to re-attach them to the bumper. It seems one needs a bracket that holds them in the "metal" bumper. Any help would be appreciated.

Does this confirm that the seats cannot be configured backwards?

Just bought my second NV passenger van
dammitjim replied to dneiding's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
What rubber runners are these? I checked Nissan and they don't have any... just carpet (that's what we have now). I also checked wethertech and nothing. I'd like to get these ASAP before the kids do any major work on the floor LOL
