Wow ! 13mpg seems a little low. Try watching you speed. If you have the high top, it's not exactly cutting through the air. I think I recall a calculation that for every 5 mph increase in speed, you are doubling the air resistance against the vehicle. Try traveling around 60 or 65 mph at most on the highway and see if that changes your overall mpg.

Sorry, I meant 17mpg on the highway. Mixed driving brings it down to about 14/15. The more city driving, the lower the mpg which is expected. It can dip down to 13mpg if I do all city driving in a given day. -
You won't be disappointed with the NV. It has everything that you could ask for. Very comfortable, roomy and versatile. If you're a Ford fan, hang tight as Ford is launching a Sprinter fighter. It looks very Transit like.

I'm getting around 17/18. If I do more stop and go than highway it drops down to around 15. I have gotten as high as 19.8 being very easy on the pedal. Hoping for higher once the engine has more miles on it. I have about 5K on it now.

I get about 17 mpg around town. City driving and standing idling really brings it down. I drove very careful to see how high I could get it and it made it 19.8 mpg. That was with about 3K miles on the van. I only have about 5K on it now and am hoping that the mpg will increase a little once it's really broken in. -
They're not that hard to install. I had my cables run by an upfitter from the vehicle main battery to the back of my van where I wanted the inverter. I had them do it because it involved putting holes in the floor and I didn't want to drill through anything important or have my cables to short out on any metal. They used a continuous duty relay between the main battery and the secondary. I installed an Optima battery that they recommend for inverter use. $179 @ Autozone. I purchased Tripp-Lite inverter. One of the best on the market. Had one in my last van, used it daily for five years and it never made a peep.

I purchased my NV 2500 SV with the V6 from Apple Nissan in York, PA. They were very helpful with the Adrian Steel upfit and class III trailer hitch installation. I have a 16 ft. aluminum trailer that I use mostly for the quads but do haul other stuff occasionally. The V6 performs very well pulling. I wish I had the trailer tow feature but luckily with the manual shift feature, it makes being able to use the right gear easier to deal with from dead starts and uphill pulls. I get about 18 or 19 mpg without towing on the highway. I haven't towed for any long distances yet so I don't know what the mpg is when towing. I only have about 5K miles on the van so far. Hopefully, the mpg will increase once the engine is fully broken in.
