    NV 4.0 engine 2012. Did any one experienced vibration at highway speeds that seems to come unexpectedly for a few moments and then go away? Road condition seems to be irrelevant. Can happen on a long highway trip once and never to re appear until the next one. Very strange situation, not sure what to make of it.

    My first thought is wheel balance, but why does it go away and reappear later?

    Any help on this it greatly appreciated. Thanks

    The Navication was working okay before, it just wasnt giving me the over the speed limit warning. Other than that i did not notice any difference.  

    I did not try to input any data in the Nav while i was driving so i dont know the answer to that.

    Any one knows what color is  the vss ( Vehicle speed sensor) wire on the stock radio wiring harness? I know its there because i see a speed sensitive volume button. I am changing the stock radio with an in dash navigation system from JVC that requires a vss connection. Thanks i appreciate any input.

    Mine was making noice when cold wheather. I have fixed it my self. There are two centering pins, one at the top and one at the bottom not the one in the middle that locks the door. The one at the bottom of mine was not centered and it was rubing metal to metal. Renoved the screws and centerd it. I hope this helps.

    Check out the pictures i have posted. The side panels come with the SV and i think the 2500. The top i did with 1/8 inch plywood, you can use 1/4 but it will be more work to cut. There is fiberglass insulation behind it. You can make a cardon template before you cut the panels .

    I paid $28,800 for my 1500 sv low roof not counting Taxes .Includes rear windows ,side pass and driver windows and a rear aftermarket seat .I am in NY City and i have passenger plates .

    I drove my 1500 sv cargo low roof in a bad snow storm last winter .It hadled very well , better than my previus Chevy Express Van .Not sure i like the red ,i have the silver and it is easy to keep clean .I hope this helps .

    Thanks for you replies Guys .The front preusure was 80 psi on mine to, but i have corrected that early .I am suspecting to much front toe in also .Dealer wont touch the alignment because is within specs .I have a printout from an indepented shop that i whent befeore i go to the dealer .It specifies for 0.22 to 0.28 ,the actual is 0.26 left and 0.27 right .Do you thing is to exesive ? Yes 10 days, but that is because i didnt need it for a few days .I thought they would do a better job that way .I have rotated the tires already .

    i have a 2012 Nissan NV 2500 high roof i can feel a little friction on the steering when driving at slow speed ( city driving ) some times small vibrating .. feels like some of the steering parts need lube any one else notice this ?? ??

    Yes i have noticed it to .Feels like some plastic part of the cover touches another ,not sure what to make of it .Try changing the tilt position see if this changes anything .Mine seems to get better in a referent position .

    I noticed that the front bumper is off some. it is lower on the passenger side and shifted to the left as you face the van. on the driver side I can barely stick my thumb in, maybe goes in about halfway up the nail. on the passenger side I can get my whole thumb in. Dealer looked at it and said there is no adjustment. ? Anyone else see this on their van.

    Mine was the same way there are some screws at the front and at the inside with some brackets you can loosen those and adjust .The dealers are full of crab just do it your self .I took mine in for uneven wear at the outside front tires at 5,000 miles ( Saw tooth wear ) and they couldn't find anything wrong .What a waist of time .

    Hello, I just purchases a NV, will pick up next week, I hope I made the right decision. I believe Nissan is a quality auto builder in my opinion.

    What do you guys think?. The power-train is a proven design from the Titan truck.

     

    Mine developed saw tooth wear at the front tires at 5,000 miles Alignment is okay dont now the problem yet .Have to take it to Dealer .I am happy with everything else ,so far so good .

    Did any one who owns an NV notice a saw tooth wear on the front tires ? Mine have a noticeable sawtooth wear at 5,000 miles .

    I have a 1500 SV owned for about 6 months and i use it to deliver custom cabinets ,very light loads .

    I saw another NV on the road today and inspected their front tires .They where worse than mine .Asked the driver if he noticed anything unusual while driving and said no .

    Did not take it to the Dealer yet but took it for alignment .It was within specifications .

    If any one has any information on this problem please let me know .

    Update :

    I took it to the dealer .After 10 days i got it back without any diagnosis .Dealer said they cant find anything wrong suspension components are good and alignment is within specs .
