  1. I wanted to go with the LT285/70 R17E but my NV only has the little V6 and i would need a gear reduction if i went that route so i tried the LT275/70 R17E instead. Theyre a little narrower than the 285's and not as tall but still several sizes bigger/wider than stock. So far theyre great. Im trying them out towing my little travel trailer soon.

  2. Nice!  Looks like your dog approves as well!

Does that wind defector help with your rack?  Mine is still noisy at certain speeds even with the rope wrap.  It is 99% better than without the rope wrap but still has some hum to it now and then.

Thanks, yes Opie approved and has them all marked now!

The roof rack was making horribly loud noise starting at about 45 mph. The fairing help considerably and the noise Is not even noticable now. Yes it helped a lot

  3. Fantastic tire. Have over 15k miles on mine and still quiet with great traction.

Keep in mind, when mine were new I Hated them for 500-ish miles. They felt really greasy and squirmy. Once they finally broke in I'm very happy and would buy another set any day.

Thanks! I have a set on my Nissan Frontier too, great tires

  4. Make sure as well that it isnt another issue, like tire slippage. When i was driving my Frontier through sand it almost died several times and i was cussing and carrying on. Come to find out, its designed to hesitate with tire slippage so when i want momentum i now simply turn off the traction control

  5. My hitch reciever arrived and i installed it. I had gotten my trailer new when i purchased my Frontier. My Frontier's tow cap is 6100lbs and my 6cyl nv is 7100lbs. I dont like to push it to the edge of capacities, so this trailer can be towed by either vehicle at a gvwr of 3662

  6. Beautiful beautiful color!!

I live in the southwest US desert of Arizona. Here, it gets as insanely HOT as it does there cold. Our heat can incapacitate a healthy fit human in a very short time and having a safe reliable vehicle is extremely important. Im sure the cold there is as bad. That is precisely why i have been driving Nissan since 1999. You made the right choice.

  7. Beautiful NV!!!

One question for you. I have been driving Nissan trucks since 1999. All Frontiers until this NV. I found, (and same with my son's Titan) that the oil filters like K&N set off the maf sensor on these. I switched to the aFe dry because of it. Have you had that, if not, how many miles are on the van since you installed the oiled filter? Perhaps its somthing for you to consider if your sensor blows off.

  8. I go with a very simple formula. On my NV, the tow cap is 7100lbs. And on my Frontier 6100 lbs. i go strictly by the GVWR on the trailer. That's the MAX trailer weight the axles on the trailer will carry. I always fail conservative, my trailer's GVWR is 3536.

Trailer salesman will sell you what they can and try to confuse you on trailer weights and formulas and so on. Just make sure your trailer's GVWR is well below your max tow weight. Forget dry weight. Thats how I figure it and I've towed quite a bit from the 1970's to present. Everybody does it their own way, I certainly am not implying anyone's wrong, I'm just saying you don't need to have a PHD in mathematics to figure this out.
