  1. Thank you for that info. Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma would be great areas to meet up!
  2. What are you talking about? "They put a ..." Who? And what does Oregon have to do with anything for getting together in Missouri or Chattanooga? I am lost???? Sorry about that.
  3. Thank you for your welcome, chphilo. I need to take some pictures, and start a thread. :)
  4. Eurcamper does not have any exterior windshield covers for the NV 2500, either... :(
  5. Checked the Coverking Website... They do have a windshield cover, however, it does not extend to cover over the "tray" area below the wipers... :(
  6. Yes, Mark I will certainly let y'all know if I find one. I have something that will clean snow like the broom from Wally World. But here where I live, that tray area becomes a very large, dense, solid block of ice! :)
  7. Thanks Seth... Custom may be the way I will need to go... :)
  8. Good idea, Radin... I will check into Eurocampers... thanks :)
  9. Our roof rack is loaded with solar panels, an air vent, and now our awning... I drive her most all the time on highways and narrow byways, and I would not want to be without them. They work. I don't feel the tug and sway the big rigs cause. They even help in keeping the dirt from swirling up on the backdoors... :)
  10. Yes, agree... seems everyone is always so busy. But, as I am enjoying more about Cargi and using her, I find it would be so interesting to talk with others who are DIY their vans! :)
  11. We don't have a lot of snow, but when we do it likes to nest on the windshield area below the wipers: the CREVASSE. Anyone have an idea they use to cover the windshield in this type of inclement weather? Have considered the covers that go on a class A motorhome, but do not want to scratch my exterior. And have actually never seen one of these class A Windshield covers. :)
  12. "I am looking into adding these. https://buyairtab.com/ I saw them on a sprinter a couple days ago and the theory is strong. IMHO Dustin" Dustin, this is a late post. Did you get your airtabs? We have these airtabs. Everyone with a hightop needs these!! When a big truck passes, unless I see it coming in my rearview mirror, I don't even know he is there until I see him next to me. These work great... :)
  13. "Has anyone installed an extra battery? Where ? Thanks Dustin " We had installed 3 Group 31 Deka batteries, 105 amps apiece. Have 400 amps solar panels on roof, but found we needed more for boondocking. We added three 214 amp Odyssey batteries giving us 642 amps vs previous 315 amps. Now we are doing fantastic. If needed for lack of sun, rain, etc, Pete added a switch so we can power from the van battery while we are driving. We just switch back to the solar power when we need to turn off Cargi... Where? Next to our shower stall we have an area for the batteries on the bottom and shelves above. This is right next to the wheelwell on the drivers side. :)
  14. Would love to have a gathering meetup in Missouri! We are just north of Little Rock. Southern Missouri, of course anywhere in Arkansas, northeast Texas, eastern Oklahoma... There are already lots of activity north, and east, and out west. I think those of us here in the more centralized us drive some pretty awesome Nissans, as well. I will throw out the Branson, MO area. Lots for people to do and see, beautiful country, and not very busy right now. We are fairly impromptu and don't "necessarily" need a lot of heads up to have a gathering... :)
  15. We were headed to the airport at McBride, MO, which was right underneath the path, and in the lowland next to the Mississippi river. But after reading about all the traffic, we opted to go north of Fredrickstown, out in the country. Found a narrow two lane road north, then east to Womack. Never did find Womack. But we did end up at an old country church with perfect parking and position, just east of Womack, as we later found out with Google maps assistance... I won't post any as you have already some fine examples of what we got: In addition to the eclipse itself, we got the pink flares and the wedding ring... Had a wonderful time camping out in our Nissan Cargo van... Cargi ! :) Oh, and yes we really avoided the traffic. So glad we didn't go any further east. ;)
  16. Would love to see a gathering in Arkansas, southern Missouri, eastern Oklahoma, northeast Texas... :)
  17. Would love to attend. And wouldn't it be great fun for all the Nissan NV owners to gather, show off, see and be seen! I think we have the best vehicle out there. Would be nice if the van was two feet longer......my big DREAM! :)
  18. Hello, all... Bought our 2012, used, in 2013. I love this van...love it. I drive it everywhere. My poor mini-van does not see the love it once did! :( We have worked very hard, part time getting this van where we want it. And, we are Almost done... (of course, is that really ever true?) We keep changing, adding and tweaking. We just added a Carefree Freedom Awning last weekend. Looking forward to keeping the sun from shining in our side door. Now to find one short enough for over the back doors... ;) Did I say I love this van! :)
