Hi Guys, Good day! May I ask some questions? - Can we add a house battery under the hood? Or it has to be inside the cargo area. - For NV3500 SV/SL - what's the AH value of the so-called HD battery (as what I can see in the brochure)? - I know that the alternator is 130AH - is this enough to charge house batteries via ACR and others? I am just glad that with good maintenance schedule, we can reach that point without major repairs. Thanks.

Ah, so the best option is to run it via the stock alternator using VSR (for bulk charging it) and use solar panels for the float stage?

Hi Guys, I was reading this - https://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/split-charging.html- and it said that if the vehicle has a smart alternator, VSR is not recommended. Battery-to-battery charger is the one being recommended. Question: The 130AH alternator that Nissan NVs have is a "smart" alternator? Thanks.

Hi Guys, Not seeing a topic here (or I failed to use the Search field), but got some questions: 1.) What can void the warranty? Let me know if the list below voids the warranty. - Cutting holes at the roof for fans (Ventline Vanair or solar vents, or Maxxair). Is there a limit to the number of holes? 2.) Swivel Seat add-on. 3.) Changing tires and/or lifting it up to 2 inches. 4.) Roof rack, rear bumper, bull bumper add/ons. 5.) Plasti-dip paint job 6.) Aftermarket windows (CR-Laurence or MW). If these can void warranty, shall I think of buying a used vehicle and register it as an RV? Thank you!

I am planning to get a rear bumper add-on with a box and spare tire carrier. I am planning to remove the tire below so that I will be able to use the space for a tank (if possible). Not sure if it is a good location to put a grey water tank.
