  1. I have the 2500 V6. It gets 11 -13 around town (Denver). 19-21 going up and down the mountain highways to the ski resorts in the rocky mountains.
  2. I got mine from Joe Machens in Columbia MO. I have seen 19 MPG average going from Denver to Vail. Up and down the mountain. Max speed about 65. Long trip this summer to TN and back and that was higher speed. Averaged about 15 MPG Highway This was due to higher rpm and coefficient of drag. I would rather have the V8 still but so be it. Next one I buy needs a better traction control or they need to go 4WD optional.
  3. Definately, Edmunds.com has the good advice. If they are giving you a deal on the SF then that would be coming out of the better price you could haggle down to. You should not pay any dealer hold back as well. If there is that line on the sales paperwork then call them on it and pay little to none of it. good luck.
  4. See my new pics of the window installation process. It was really easy. I was a bit aprehensive about cutting through the side of the van. Then, gave it a go and wondered what I was worried about in the first place. Been through the high powered car wash a couple times since and dry as a desert inside.

    REAR SEATS And Windows.

Making cargo area more "kid friendly".
  6. I bought the windows direct from Nissan. I paid about $425 for the pair. The slider is fixed and the drivers side hinges at the top. I preferred fixed but it was all they offered at the time. It was simple I mean real simple, to do. Just over 2 hours start to finish. See the pics I posted of the process.
  7. I have a 2500 bought used and I installed some rear seating for picking up kiddos from school and such. I have no windows on the slider or on the drivers side. The rear doors do have windows. Has anyone installed the aftermarket windows? I have seen them available from a couple different Mfr's. I could surely do this myself as I installed the rear seating. The task is a bit gnarley as you are cutting the sheet metal out of the door and the panel on the drivers side. ( Seats taken from a MAZDA MPV. They bolt into the floor. They clip in and out for simple stowing. Passenger side slides to the center on tracks for rear access.Tried to post pics but file too large.)
  8. Hello I have the v-6 2500 and got it used from a Nissan dealer that used it as parts delivery. It had 10K when I got it just over a year ago. I average 12 to 12.5 in mixed driving with an average of 500 lbs. of cargo. Very Dissappointed! I hear that some are getting in the high teens and this blows my mind. I wanted and expected to get an extra 3-4 MPG, and would rather have the V-8 power for this crummy mielage. Driving in Denver at this altitude should not decrease the MPG that much. Love the truck hate the MPG.
