  1. Thanks guys! I used your suggestions and purchased the Nissan part, put it in and went for a three day drive in the mountains --air quality for my daughter really improved! I hope you fellas have a pleasant weekend.
  2. Glenn thanks again I got my demo speakers going this evening and I will pick up new 6x9s tomorrow. This is really going to improve sound! wilf
  3. I am not sure how to post photos yet so I will ask my son this evening to help me out.
  4. I would like to have a look at your cabin filter pictures. I have a 2012 nv 2500 hd converted to wheel chair acess and any air quality improvements I can do to the interior would be very helpful. If you can send those photos or post them on this forum I would really apreciate it. thanks
  5. I am thinking of converting to the LED method of lighting because I will be adding lights at the rear doors and on the sides of the lift we have installed and I want to continue to use the existing light circt and as I understand the advantages of LED includes a very low draw on the electrical system (the battery). Thanks for the tip
  6. I am getting about 18.5 -19 mpg on a NV 2500 hd with 8000 kms combined city and highway.
  7. I have a 2012 Nv 2500 high roof converted to a wheel chair accessible van and carries about 800 lbs of equipment constantly. Now has about 8000 kilometers (5000 miles). When I got it the mileage as a new truck didn't get 10mpg -- made me question the purchase but in the last 1000 kilometers the miileage has shown improvement now up to about 18.5 to 19 mpg. On regular gas driving both city and highway. On the highway I select the manual mode for the truck's transmission as that allows me to shift into 5th gear while the automatic mode only goes into 4th gear. On the highway I run at about 60mpg (about 10 mph higher than the local limit). I am going to do a cold air kit conversion based on other Nisan v6 engines and hope the mileage improves some more.
  8. I recently encountered a problem at McDonalds restourant Abbotsford outside of Vancouveer --they had a height restriction indicator hung at the opening of the drive thru and it said I had three inches of clearance ---it was incorrect and I hit the bar---no damage as it was slung by two chains but backing the 2500 high roof was a pain for me and the six cars in line behind me---be careful when relying on narrow measurements ---they can be inaccurate
  9. Thank you. My email is: rxt7fbbody@gmail.com.
  10. I have pins with pig tails that will fit but I do not know how the rear speakers are colour coded on the radio (male) block side. My van is a base 2500 high roof. If you can advise me as to the colour code or plug location of the rear left and right + and - terminals it would be very helpful ---thanks
  11. As a wheel chair accessible van our new high roof 2500 nv has worked out very well as a side loader with a vmi folding hydralic lift. We removed the center consel between the front seats to make it a step through van, leveled the floor and moved the power unit (located in the consel) onto the remaining dup holder --simply drilled out the space between the two cup holder locations and relocated the factory connecting cord forward under the cup holder and carpet,
  12. My last post should have read that the lift was a "VMI" product --sorry for the typo--We were able to work with Sidewinder's Van Conversions in British Columbia so I am sure that you will have access to lift providers in your area.
  13. We have just completed the installation of a wheel chair acess ramp into our 2012 NV 2500 HD. The lift is provided by VIM and is a folding side door mounted hydralic lift. The conversion meant that we had to make a minor modification to the plastic step at the door and that was about all required. We did remove the council between the two front seats to make it a step through van and mounted the power plug that is located in the council onto the cup ho;der at the bottom of the dash. Once removed the power plug wiring only needed to be rerouted as the factory provided harness was long enough to allow for repositing on to the cup holder.
