    Roof mounts

Did you find something that works? In the mean time, it looks as if you could use 1" nylon cargo straps and thread the loose end beneath the existing roof mounts for light duty work (canoe). Stainless eyenuts or eye bolts may do the job too if the short tax holes aren't the correct on centre spacing to align with the NV. http://www.mcmaster.com/#general-purpose-eyebolts/=nao3ry
  2. http://www.quigley4x4.com/ I suspect your mpg might dip into single digits with the 4x4 upfit ;) I have the v8 passenger and If I behave, I get 16-17 mpg on the freeway at 65 mph. I drove the v6 and v8 and surprisingly found the 6 to be slightly peppier off the line. Likely due to a different final drive ratio. We chose the v8 so we could get the maximum towing capability. I can' t speak to the need for 4wd but We had a decent winter and the Rwd with all season tires did a fine job. I may invest in winter tires this year as the all seasons will no longer be brand new. Good luck!

Thanks for the great details! I get about the same freeway mileage as you without a trailer so that is reassuring. We got the SL specifically with tow capability in mind although we have not yet made the leap to buy a trailer. I was looking at a 32 foot keystone tt but wasn't sure how the NV would perform. Sounds like we won't have an issue. Any recommendations on a weight distributing hitch setup? I have zero trailering experience but understand a unit with sway control is a wise investment. I figure we would weigh about the same: 6500 empty, 750 tongue weight. Thanks again for all your help. Our 6 little ones would certainly love it if I can actually make a decision on this already! Have a great time canoeing :)

Hi, nice ride! How does it handle on the highway? Any idea what your mpg is with and without the trailer? We're looking at the same setup and some hefty road trips. Thanks for the pic!
