Solution found: Reese 37042 “Universal Hitch” is an easy mod to fit. You will have to cut the brackets (to raise it for better ground clearance). Otherwise it’s very adjustable and bolts for tow hooks line up perfectly. Flip the receiver portion upside down also for clearance. cut bumper 8”x 6” (without removing bumper)and re-drill license plate to mount directly to OEM mount Only $168 ++ from Auto Zone currently or look on Craigslist/Market place for a used one. One of the attached photos shows what vehicles it fits

Brilliant idea, @Andy...In operation do you have to stop the window exactly at the right moment? Or is there a built-in pressure switch to stop the window.

Uninstalling Old Sliding Door And Installing Used Sliding Door
Renzo replied to Billguitarvin's topic in Nissan NV 2500HD
Late to the Party as usual...Mine came with a bashed in slider. Junkyards locally want 500-600 for a used one in good condition, but they weigh close to 300 lbs, so installing is something I would leave to a Pro. A backyard body guy in my area wants $250 to do the job. Another wants $900 to repair door/quarter panel and paint(This is how I'll probably go)How did you solve your dilemma? -
For anyone else interested, Transit has a SKINNY seat that one could adapt. Its also quick release if you could find proper attachments. @radin2son I saw that one in my initial search, but Im too cheap to pay for a welder to custom build ($450) Titan front hitch uses tow hooks like NV in front. I'll measure one and find out if spacing is the same. They're pretty reasonably priced.. This YouTuber used Harbor Freight parts and minimal welding-I might try that myself

I havent found a bolt-on application, but Im hoping someone here has modified one to fit. I modded one off of a E-350 for my '88 Chev Class C, but I dont want to re-invent the wheel if possible. TIA!! Photo for attention (Its a Silverado!!)

@Longboardguy Nice/Simple buitl-thanks for sharing I have a similar build in mind(mine is High roof) What did you use for wall paneling? Insulation behind? Do you sleep "North-South" or East-West? Im about 5'9" but I havent tried East/West to see if I can comfortably fit.

Thanks for the link. Did you just pry off the old washers? BTW how did you remove the chrome shell from original lug?

No replies for almost 8 years! I'll start a new topic as I have this Death Wobble in my '14 HR with 'only'200K miles

Like many here, mine is suffering from loss of paint. Its just a work van but I'd like to touch up some areas that are too large for the typical tiny touch up options. Is there a good color match from off-the-shelf Rustoleum, etc?

Stealing old thread from 2017 Buying OEM Wheel's seem to work well-they are plentiful, generally cheap and Craigslist or FBMP is a good place to find used 'take-off' wheels with tires mounted. My TPMS doesnt read correctly anyway so this doesnt bother me So i am hunting for OEM wheels from any maker that fit the NV - OEM Specs: 17X5 ET40 offset Ctr hole 121.3mm 8x161.5 '20-'24 Ram2500 is close 17x5 ET57 offset ctr hole 121.3 8x161.5 I believe the Ram offset puts the tire closer to inside of truck about17mm I'll measure mine tomorrow and see if it looks like there's room, BUT>>> I'd like to hear from owners who have done this

Did you solve this? A little more information please? Van is in Park and wont shift out of Park? There is a shift interlock that can be bypassed Heres a YouTube that explains

OEM wheels from any brand that fit the NV
Renzo replied to fenderfatstrat6's topic in Wheels & Tires
Late to the party, but I've been trying to find the answer also...It looks like 2003 Ram 2500 wheels have same offset/bolt circle/center hole B U T they are 16" which is what Im looking for. 245/70R17(Original) is 30.5" diameter 255/75R16 is 31.1" diameter. Am I wrong thinking 16" has more options/cheaper price? -

Maybe I missed this in the long list of components: Is this the Front bumper you used? https://www.vividracing.com/aluminess-front-bumper-brush-guard-nissan-20112018-p-152777409.html
