  1. 3500 v8 high top, stock tires. Not sure of weight but it's full of racking and tools?I didn't go out in the height of the storm but the van did fine for what it is. The roads were hard pack and areas of solid ice. I have been turning the traction control off during these storm because every little slip leaves me with no power and occasionally in an unsafe spot. I would rather be in control of the throttle!
  2. From the info I found it looks like the telematics plug is a good spot to pick up info from the factory system and computer. But beyond seeing it in a PDF for upfitters that is all I know and can't find any further info. I haven't had the chance to go digging around in the dash to find it either.
  3. There are two sets of plugs behind the driver kick that travel to another set of plugs in the engine bay to allow for power to pass through the fire wall. Does anyone know where I might be able to get the other ends of the plugs with pigtails? I couldn't find them on any of the online parts suppliers even on the diagrams. I am thinking going to a local dealer will end up with the same results. Maybe an upfitter would have access to them? There is also a plug under the center of the dash some where that that is an upfitter plug for telematics that I wouldn't mind also getting if available. Thoughts?
  4. Nope, no armrests on my seats. I wonder if they could be added?
  5. Here it is: https://titanfueltanks.com Unfortunately it looks like it is being made for diesel trucks only right now.
  6. I saw one the other day that was mounted in place of the spare tire, though I wouldn't want to be without a spare. Let me see if I can find it.
  7. Do you guys miss having an armrest in the middle? That would be my only trepidation about removing it.
  8. I would agree, I wish Nissan had put a larger tank in. I'm getting less than 300 miles range on a fill up.
  9. That sounds about right, I came up with about 104" measuring on my van.
  10. I disabled the running lights and installed a DDM tuning 6000k HID kit. They are so much brighter then the factory lights. I would highly recommend the upgrade and the price is right! http://www.ddmtuning.com I have had their headlight and fog light kits on my Yukon for about 3 years now with no issues.
  11. Hello everyone! I upgraded from a Chevy Express van to a 2013 3500 High top about a month ago and love it so far! I have a good client that is that sales Manager at a local Nissan dealership that gave me a very good deal. After my trade in I walked out the door for under 25k for a fully loaded NV with every available option with the exception of rear and side windows, try that with "the big three"! I opted for no up fitting and took the rebate and took a few weeks to build shelving the way I wanted it. I am a home Remodeler so I carry many different subsets of tools so organization and efficiency was key. I have invested in Festool equipment and their systainers (storage boxes) to maximize space. I have posted photos of the inside on another forum if anyone is interested in taking a look. I would post some of the pictures here but I need to resize them http://festoolownersgroup.com/member-projects/new-van-racking/ I have been searching for options for a rear access ladder to get to my roof rack but am not finding a whole lot. I did order a Topper one through American Van but after the first one being defective and the second one having multiple quality control issues I need to move on. I ran across Surco but they look exactly like the topper and I wonder if they will have the same issues. There is one other on Vantech but I am not seeing much info on them. Any one have one that they would recomend? Thanks, Brian
  12. I haven't looked at the ford yet but I was looking at some of the Chevy cutaways with either just the rear box or one with the exterior bins. Of all I have seen on the local lots every one is the work truck model, no power windows/locks, cruse control etc. Seems a bit crazy to spend 30k+ and not have some of these simple things.
  13. That stinks...could be a deal killer for me. Messing around with the airbag system just isn't my idea of a good time. The Nissan engineers thought about so many good and innovative features for a work van, it seems odd they omitted something as simple as a manual cutoff switch for the passenger airbags.
  14. I am looking into purchasing a 3500 high top to replace my aging Express van. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn off or disable the passenger side airbag(s)? My 2-1/2 year old son rides shotgun with my on a daily basis and I don't feel safe putting him there unless the airbag can be turned off. Thanks
