  1. vibration may be caused by steering wheel recall fix, I think. The foam anti vibration is removed since it was causing the gear indicator to be off center (making one believe they were in park "p" but were really not fully in park. At least this is my understanding. It seems the fix allows more vibration in wheel.
  2. I brought some white all purpose grease from auto parts store (comes in a can) and greased the roller track at the top (liberally) and the door connector points. (the female points on the frame) and that takes away the noise for a month (thumping and rattling). I am not sure why. I just followed a post/advice. I think it may actually cause a buffer in the door track, since it is pretty thick stuff.. However, the grease eventually dries up after a month and you need to reapply. I understand it is not intended to be the most refined, sophisticated vehicle, but a workhorse. However, the nature of the problem is more a result of a little sloppiness in the design. A couple of millimeters off the track width would have solved the problem with a tighter fit for the roller. Still like the vehicle but there are some annoying quirks for sure.
  3. I may have a similar situation that I also need advice on. My Nissan NV jerks when I start out from stop( at a stop sign or stop light). Feels like the rear wheels skip/bounce or jerk when beginning to move. then, once going, everything is fine. Also when I stop the rear wheels feel like they roll back excessively after a complete stop causing a reverse momentum shift with enough force to send you back against your seat. It seems like the obvious would be too much slack in the driveshaft or bad u-joints, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I crawled under and checked. could it be brakes and/or differential? I Did change the differential oil in hopes the problem would go away to not avail. I only have 7000 miles. The reason I think brakes is that the van sat at the back of the dealer lot through winter and was idle for a long period of time.Maybe rust? Only other theory is that the back end is too light, as I have the rear row of seats removed currently. Perhaps the car rides differently without heavier load which is what it is designed for? Any help is appreciated.
