Good luck to you! I vaguely remember the last of the milkmen in the late 60’s. I think it’s an idea whose time has come again. The NV should be a good choice for you. Mine has been extremely reliable over the last two years. There really doesn’t seem to be an achilles heel with this thing - if you don’t count gas mileage, and I don’t. It’s a box w/ a gas engine- not breaking any mpg records.

13.5 MPG, mixed. I tend to lead foot it on the highway.

2014 2500 Hi-roof. I have the V6 and it’s been great. I carry about 500# and occasionally pull a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer loaded with about 700-800#. Barely feel I’m pulling anything. I live in SE Michigan which is very flat, so take that into consideration. The general consensus here seems to be if you’re towing a sizable load, get the V8.

Bamps - which model did you buy? Did you mount it to a rearview mirror? Thanks.

Could you give me some information on the step? I went to the Auto Cool site and didn’t really find much. What was the cost and did you install it yourself? Thanks!

Chris - I have a 2014 with around 20K miles. Not a single issue- great van. The mileage isn’t great, but I’ve driven Ford vans for 25 years, so I’m used to lousy gas mileage.

I had a Code-Alarm remote start installed. I believe it was around $225-$250 installed.

Thanks, Rad. In this case, size doesn’t matter. I’m not carrying a lot. However, a big reason I bought My NV2500 was the 5yr/100K warranty. The NV200 has the same, while the Transit Connect has a 3/36.

I currently own a NV2500 Hi-roof work van and am considering either a Ford Transit Connect or an NV200 to add to my “fleet”. I’m hoping for some feedback about durability and general satisfaction with the NV200. Also, why you selected the Nissan over the Ford, etc. Thanks!

ASD - sorry you have to go through this. Both my daughters were hit by texting drivers and I was rear-ended by a distracted driver. It’s infuriating and time-consuming. Glad you’re all ok.

I wanted to control my Fan-tastic fan from the dash, and while I was at it, replaced the blank, dummy switches. One will be for an eventual seat warmer, the other for unruly passengers.

I’ve driven while it’s open many times at highway speed. No noticeable increase in wind noise and it appears to have no adverse affect on the fan itself.

I bought a slightly used Ford E-250 years ago that Ford had to buy back from the original purchaser. It, too, drifted to the right. I figured it was worth the savings and, because it was under warranty, they could eventually fix it. I was wrong. They replaced most of the front end components, adjusted this and that, aligned the wheels repeatedly - nothing helped. When I replaced the tires, the problem completely disappeared. I can’t imagine that they didn’t rotate them when trying to correct the drift, but really don’t remember.

I live in Michigan also, and have been impressed with the traction/handling/stability in the snow. I considered snow tires, but really don’t see the need. We have almost no hills in SE Michigan, so your experience may be different if you have elevation changes.

I have a 2014 hi-top Cargo NV with 16K miles. Zero warranty issues as compared to a dozen or so with my last vehicle, a 2007 Ford E-250. I looked at the Dodge and Ford and am really happy I picked the NV. They are solid vehicles.

I installed a Fantastic fan about 18 months ago and have had no issues. If you think about it, the fan itself, sealed and through-bolted with SS bolts actually adds back some rigidity to the structure. It’s a relatively small opening and very little of the rib is removed. I used a grinder to cut through the roof, so no welds were popped. I posted a few pics under NV Cargo. Great fan.

May not be the most secure solution, but I keep a spare key in my fuel filler door. It wedges perfectly behind the metal support strap. I’ve avoided lockouts on multiple occasions.
