Hello all!

Me and my wife have been looking at large passenger vans for a few years now, and with finding out we are expecting our 5th child we decided it was time to make a move. We have gone to our local Nissan dealer that just became a commercial dealer this year and put in our order for a 2017 nv passenger. We were told it would be a long wait for it to arrive probably into march of next year but we are excited anyways.

I've been viewing this site for a few months now and it seems that just about everything I need to know can be found or found out here. So I don't see myself as becoming a big customizer but it is interesting to see what some have done with theirs.

My wife will be the main driver to shuttle my kids around. So all I care about is that it is safe and reliable with all that precious cargo.

Thanks for letting us be part of your community

I was actually surprised at how little was known of 2017. It's kinda weird buying a vehicle that is a mystery even to the dealer. Basically they used the 2016 pricing as a template and said they would get back to me about any increase in pricing. Right now we are going on a msrp of about $49000 cdn a bargain since we were looking at a Ford transit that was about $59000 and still no leather seats. So as far as I can find out the only change is the engine and transmission which I guessing will cause around a $2000 increase. But other than that it should be identical to the 2016.

Our 5th is due in June. So I'm hoping the van is here before that. I'm also hoping my current vehicle last till then too. I swear it knows we are going to replace it and is causing significant problems to drain me right at the end. We are up to about $2900 in repairs in the last 4 months.

Welcome to the forum and I hope the ordering process goes smoothly with the delivery.  There is a commercial manager on here (Chris) who thought his first new 2017 could arrive as early as mid-late January I think.  Hopefully you get yours quicker than you think.

Let us know how it all goes.

I am sure you will like the NV.  We just got our last weekend.  There was a post about a price increase and change in engine but nothing else stated for 2017.  If you have not ordered it yet, it might be worth it to drive a little ways to get a 2016.  The additional MPG savings is far less than the price increase.

So I stopped by my nv dealer this week and they said it is in production. No vin number yet. They said they are hoping for a early to mid February arrival. Hope they are right. I'm starting to get a little excited.

It's official! We picked up our 2017 nv passenger this afternoon. It is amazing. I'm so happy with it. Is rides so smooth. I can even tell it's a 3500 frame the ride is so soft. The new engine and transmission are awesome I'm hoping for decent mileage. All my kids love it, I can barely hear them in the back. But most importantly my wife felt comfortable driving it after only a few minuets.

Well done Nissan!

Beautiful beautiful color!!

I live in the southwest US desert of Arizona. Here, it gets as insanely HOT as it does there cold. Our heat can incapacitate a healthy fit human in a very short time and having a safe reliable vehicle is extremely important. Im sure the cold there is as bad. That is precisely why i have been driving Nissan since 1999. You made the right choice.
