Ryan Stotts Posted December 20, 2016 (edited) This unused plug near the driver side kick panel is the upfitter plug? Where do I get the plug for it? Preferably with a pigtail. Edited December 20, 2016 by Ryan Stotts
SKRUGS Posted December 20, 2016 That is for electric trailer brake control. What do you mean by "Upfitter plug?"
Ryan Stotts Posted December 21, 2016 Looks like they are behind the kickpanel. Page 169: http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/refgh0v/og/BBG/2012-2017-Nissan-NV-Cargo-Van-BBGv1.pdf
Ryan Stotts Posted December 28, 2016 Found them: Nice to have a place to tap into for power. What's under the "dead pedal":
Randucci Posted March 24, 2017 . Have you looked for and found a source for the mating plugs to make a clean way of using these pre-wired locations? On Page 168 it shows two locations in the engine compartment to tap into. They would be handy ones to use for adding Aux lighting (fog lamps, driving lights, etc), it would be nice to find the female plugs for them also. Ryan Stotts Posted March 25, 2017 It turns out those connectors in the engine compartment are the other end of the ones under the dash. No power to any of it and I never sourced the connectors.
Randucci Posted March 27, 2017 Well, that is interesting, I didn't check to see if there was power to them, I guess I shouldn't have assumed there was, but was just thinking that if the manual referenced them as uplifts, they would have power to them. I have a couple of places to check on connectors, I'll post if I find some.
Mdsnyder108 Posted July 21, 2017 (edited) This is a copy of my post under the upfits thread: For anyone who is looking for the disconnects to put inside the two prong upfitter connector they are 9.53mm female disconnects. They go in with a very satisfying click and don't budge once they are in place. The same disconnects are used on both the engine side and the cab side even though the upfitter connector is different. I'm using them on the cab side as well, just without a upfitter connector until I can find it. Slide them on and put electrical tape around the housing to keep dust and dirt out. Available Amazon and ebay if you search for: TE CONNECTIVITY / AMP 280755-4 TERMINAL, FEMALE DISCONNECT, 9.53MM, CRIMP (10 pieces) Pics and write-up on my Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/p/BWvG-JNFLiu/ You can use mini fuse tap adapters to connect power on the cab side if you need it. Some things will make sense to connect there and some will make sense to connect on the engine side. Pictures and write up here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BWALKDsFVKK/ I actually did have the correct disconnects for the four prong connector as well.
