Randucci Posted April 4, 2017 Anyone else wish the column shifter arm was about 2 -3" shorter? It just seems unnecessarily long plus in the way of adjusting the fan and taking drinks out of the left drink holder. Has anyone looked into shortening it? Nvdad81 Posted April 4, 2017 I was just thinking the same thing the other day. It's in the way for the climate controls. Nvdad81

Randucci Posted January 1, 2018 Well, I couldn't take it any longer, so I changed the angle of the column shifter. I was originally going to make it shorter, but I couldn't remove the manual shift tip on the end without probably breaking it and the wires running down it might get damaged pulling them out and getting them back in. So, I removed the shifter are and bent it more straight so it doesn't end as low in the drive position. The removal was not easy and the wires going to the manual shifting switch don't just unplug at one connector, two or three of the wires went to other places and I had to take the wires and pin out to remove the shifter arm. it took several trial bends until I got to where I wanted it. The shifter has a very thick wall in the tube and was difficult to bend because of all the angles on it (tough to get a good grip). I am much happier with it now, but it wasn't easy to remove, bend and replace. 3 cabinetcrew, AzGRMW007 and guinnessbrewer reacted to this
