J.T.2 Posted December 10, 2017 I have a nv2500 hd high roof with a 6 cyl. Anyone running a bigger tire with the 6 cyl? Curious if the 6 cyl has any issues pushing a bigger tire.
chphilo Posted December 10, 2017 That is pretty large size. This thread may help. http://nissannvforum.com/topic/1590-fingers-crossed-they-fit-lol/ The rubbing for the van occurs with the sliding door. His 285/70/17 does rub, but not enough to not to be able to open the door.
Mdsnyder108 Posted September 21, 2018 I know the question is a few months old but I have a high roof V6 NV2500 HD and run 285/75/17 AT tires on the stock rims. You definitely notice the extra effort but it it still has plenty of power. Remember, this thing is designed to carry a lot of weight and tow up to 7000 lbs with the V6. I don't tow or have a lot of weight in the van as its a camper. Maybe 800 lbs total without us in it. Highway mileage is unchanged. I get about 3 mpg less in the city now. I am running the new tires at 72 psi, at 80 it took a lot less effort to move the van. The nice thing is that it rides so much better. It just rolls over the bumps that caused the stock tires to shudder. Look at the post for the largest tire on the stock wheels I uploaded some pics there. 2 Glidedon and miko reacted to this
Glidedon Posted September 21, 2018 I’m running this size tire on mine, v6. I’ve got a 2in. Lift. The van is a little slower off the line. Mileage suffered 1 to 1.5 mpg. Ride is better. I might go with 265 next time though. 1 andy_george reacted to this
