C5drvr Posted September 10, 2018 (edited) I am wondering if anyone can provide a measurement of length (bolt hole center ti center) and deflection (from center of spring to line drawn perpendicular to a line between the mounts) of an NV3500 rear spring both loaded (normal vehicle weight) and unloaded (uninstalled). Thinking of using it in another application, but need the measurements first. Edited September 10, 2018 by C5drvr
radin2son Posted September 18, 2018 This type of request always baffles me. Is someone really going to crawl under their NV 3500 to measure this? Not knowing where C5drvr resides or if a commercial dealer is nearby, C5drvr may just have to do this crawl... 2 ASD Dad and Mark Rogers reacted to this
andy_george Posted September 18, 2018 Some people love to dive in and provide trivial, never again needed answers to questions such as this. I am not one of those people, lol! Maybe someone else here is...? 2 ASD Dad and radin2son reacted to this
C5drvr Posted September 18, 2018 Radon, if your are not willing, that's fine. I however dont own an NV, but am looking to the knowledgeable members of this forum to assist me with a project that involves this vehicle. You're suggestion is not helpful and assumes too much. Maybe there is someone that works in a Nissan service department or weekend shade tree mechanic that would be more willing to assist. 1 Jerry reacted to this
radin2son Posted September 19, 2018 C5drvr, Your request still baffles me. You want someone else to do this when you can do it yourself. To make this more helpful, put your location in your profile and maybe someone near you will oblige or let you crawl under their NV 3500. Or, refer you to a nearby commercial dealer. There are no commercial managers or service techs currently active on this forum, so once again you will have to make this connection on your own. If you have not posted this on Facebook, give it a try. Let us know how it turns out... 1 ASD Dad reacted to this
ASD Dad Posted September 19, 2018 C5 - Rad is right. What you are requesting is not super simple to just go out and do. You would be far better off to just call a Commercial NV dealer and talk to the parts dept or a Nissan parts dealer that carries the spring. This forum is pretty small and we used to have a commercial tech or two and a manager. They are all long gone. Everybody flocks to the FB owners page and most there are moms with 10 kids (I am not kidding). There are some techs lurking in there though if you want to ask. 2 andy_george and radin2son reacted to this
