Out with the old, in with the new

Recommended Posts

Just traded in my 2013 SL with a Quigley conversion for a 2020 SL with an Advanced conversion. My 2013 only had 84k on it, but since 2021 will be the last year I figured it was the right time to upgrade. Now to modify ?

Looks sharp!  I like the blacked out look with the white paint job.  What’s that wheel/tire combo?  Lifted?

Is this a quiz? Which one is the 2021? Oh, the rack...

No cosmetic changes for the production run. The way a truck should be built.

Thanks!

The tires are Toyo Open Country AT3, size LT275/65/20. The wheels are 20" Fuel Blitz, offset is +20, the slider opens fully and locks. The lift is the 2.75 inch from Advanced.

That’s the point.  No needless changes in almost a decade.

I will say that the newer 5.6/ 7 speed transmission is a nice upgrade. But everything else is as it should be.

The company I work for we have a total of 5 NVs. 3 are 2013. And they have over 400K. And they still run strong but last year they bought 2 2019 brand new and fuel pump went out on both of them. And the transmission on one of them every time u stop it clicks and then when you Go it clicks again. Sounds like the diferencial is messing up.  I think the new NVs aren’t build strong like they used too

Great warranty, but that doesn’t help with downtime. Still, there are few reported problems.
