BuzGuy Posted July 2, 2014 Understand there are ways to improve fuel economy on the V8 NV3500 version so can anyone tell me what to buy to do this? Also, my owner's manual sez I can call up the avg MPG on the speedo screen by using the left side speedo screen knob. It does not come up... I do get the miles traveled and avg speed but not the avg mpg???? Why would this feature "AVG MPG" be in the owner's manual if it does not exist... what am I doing wrong? Was anybody else able to get this feature working? nutekit Posted July 7, 2014 Unfortunately they disabled this MPG display in the newer vans. The first production of the van had this feature. We purchased a scan gauge to display the MPGs. You can also purchase several different blue tooth enabled OBD sensors that will sync to your android and / or iPhone and give you the readings as well. Hawkeye77 Posted July 15, 2014 @BuzGuy, Try the Air Raid CAI for better airflow. I put one on my van last Week, and am data logging my MPG via Dash Command and my OBD II reader. ASD Dad Posted October 2, 2015 I did a review on the Airaid MXP on this site, I lost mpg! That was babying it too and it's happened to other Nissan 5.6 owners. I wil post results as I log more miles.I searched online and I couldnt find the air raid cai available for the nv passenger. What site did you use? Also, which OBD II Reader worked for you? I see a bunch out there and I am not that mechanically inclined. These seem awesome though that you can monitor things on your phone.
