radin2son Posted February 27, 2017 From a business standpoint, I'd stick with your mechanic. Regarding appointments, Nissan commercial is/was supposed to place a priority on cargo NVs, as in next service bay. This may just have been hype or rumor. If they send you an evaluation for service, the slow guy is an easy target. You could also call and complain to NC consumer advocates. If nothing else you could see if there do have priority service for business users. Our NV or NVPs may fall into the long wait group, although express service has been pretty good. ASD Dad Posted February 27, 2017 The place next door to us is our standard mechanic. They do all of our repairs and maintenance on our other vehicles. I drop the car off and walk to work. Oh, I forgot, I made an appointment at Nissan. The first Nissan dealer I made an appointment at didn't work on the NV. The second one did, but clearly an appointment means nothing. Dealers name?? I live 2 hrs from ATL and we travel there a lot. I'd avoid the place if I knew who they were. This is what some of us who have been on the forum a while are getting frustrated with. Without a name the thread is useless be it good service or bad service. I am all for more members but I'd like to keep the forum useful if the topic requires more info. I'm still pretty happy with Nissan of Greer in Greer, SC. They are the Only NV dealer in the Upstate of SC so I dont have much choice to keep things local. They are not speedy but for warranty work they have been giving me loaners (cars/suv only, they dont have NVP's to loan out!). 1 radin2son reacted to this
mk1_62 Posted February 27, 2017 Town center Nissan. We tried to buy the van through them but we ended up driving to Hendersonville NC to Hunter Nissan. Much better overall experience. Unless it's warranty work I won't be going back to Town Center. 2 Bamps and ASD Dad reacted to this

tboy353 Posted November 23, 2017 Benton Nissan, Hoover Alabama. The Commercial Sales Manager treated us very nice when we were purchasing it and they worked with us to finance it thru our Credit Union. The one time I took it in for service to fix the "fan and transmission" problem, they knew exactly what to do and updated the ECM and modified the bottom fan shroud without any questions. This was before the official Nissan update was published. They told me as I was leaving that if I ever had any problems to bring it straight to them and not worry about needing an appointment. 3 ASD Dad, radin2son and Bamps reacted to this

radin2son Posted May 5, 2018 Latest update. If there are changes in opinions regarding service at these dealerships, post the info. I have mixed feelings about Jim Click Nissan in Tucson. If I were traveling through Tucson and needed an oil change or minor service, I would go to them. Otherwise, go to Phoenix if traveling west. If traveling east, the closest dealerships are in Albuquerque or Roswell, NM. radin2son Posted September 21, 2018 It’s time to remove Jim Click Nissan, Tucson from the list. There have been enough screw ups, none serious, by their service department. The last straw was trying to set an appointment for an oil change. First, they wanted to know if I had purchased the life time service contract, next they wanted to know if I purchased our NV from them and finally the next available appointment was 0ctober 15. I assume in 2018. I told them no thanks. I will take it to my independent VW mechanic who will do the service. These qualifications are new, and I hope not the new standard for Nissan service. It will make it difficult to get service when traveling. 2 ASD Dad and andy_george reacted to this

mahu Posted September 23, 2018 Did oil change at Future Nissan in roseville, ca as per usual. $19.99 oil change, 45min in and out, everyone petted our puppy, great coffee and hot chocolate while we waited, everyone wanted to check out the van. And we got to check out the new Nissan Kicks! If you are ever in Norcal go to Future Nissan! They rock! 1 radin2son reacted to this
radin2son Posted September 23, 2018 Was this the Express oil change or did you have an appointment? My guess is Jim Click in Tucson has gone back to old gimmicks to sell vehicles and service plans.
mahu Posted September 23, 2018 Just called 2 days before for a regular oil change and made an appointment (lots of times available). 1 radin2son reacted to this
radin2son Posted September 24, 2018 2 things are strange about Jim Click’s “new” service policy (need to have purchased lifetime service and NV from them). NVs are supposed get priority service, as in next bay available, at least according to NV lore. The other is Jim Click appears to sell very few; most come from the Phoenix area. Better deals and many more to choose from, as long as they are white. Good to know appointments can still be made at least at Future Nissan. Is this the case elsewhere? radin2son Posted September 26, 2018 (edited) Took our NV to Stuttgart Autohaus in Tucson for oil change. Last time we use Nissan for service unless we need an oil change on a trip. Price for synthetic oil is the same or less than Nissan. Stuttgart works on all foreign makes and we have used them since 1983. Great service and work quality. The owner is a collector of all things VW. First time I noticed this. Edited September 26, 2018 by radin2son

radin2son Posted September 24, 2022 Any need to keep this current? With the end of NVs and the focus on EVs, it is hard to imagine dealerships making much of an effort to service NVs beyond warranty work.
Local Apparent Friday Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) Dealerships will service whatever you pay them for. Everybody needs to calm down about EVs...internal combustion is not going to disappear for a good long while, and vehicles will continue to be serviced for the better part of at least the next 10 years, or until WW3, whichever comes first. Generally speaking, though, dealership reviews are easily accessible via google. Edited September 24, 2022 by Local Apparent Friday
