Nissaron Posted April 13, 2024 Hello all! As always, I love this forum and apologies if I'm posting "incorrectly". I have a 2015 NV3500 high roof that's fairly new to me (purchased Sept 2023), but I did previously own a 2013 NV2500. Anyway the previous owner had the rear doors rekeyed (it uses a gray Nissan key instead of black). So the interior buttons do not lock/unlock them. Turning the key in other doors does not lock/unlock them. However, turning they key in the rear doors will lock/unlock the rest of the van. I may not ever re-rekey the rear doors but having them lock/unlock via fob would be nice. Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
Local Apparent Friday Posted January 1 I believe you need to have someone program them, and I think that's a dealership trip in this day and age.
radin2son Posted January 1 Old post. We had the opposite problem. Thought we lost a key and fob. Ordered new key and fob from dealer and had them reprogram it. We now have 3 keys and fobs. One fob unlocks/locks but the key won’t start the van. Fits fine in ignition but nothing happens when you turn the key. This key manually works in the locks. The others work fine except don’t manually work the locks. When camping, we leave the ignition-less key outside the van… You can imagine what I said when I unknowingly tried this key in the ignition when we on the other side of nowhere. Saw a sign that Ace will program keys.
