  1. I use this site to look up parts because they use your VIN and the factory parts look up. Give it a try. https://parts.nissanusa.com/nissanparts/index.cfm?action=replacement&groupid=D&sectionid=221&jointvehid=18124&siteid=14
  2. Hello Mr Tuscon, It has been awhile. we went to Laurel Mississippi to goof off last week and bought some gas at a local station that didn't look very "well kept". I did not fill up because of this and wanted to wait for a better location. On the way home the van check engine light came on, (first time ever) and I thought back to that station. Code was p0300 multi-misfire. One of the things to check is low fuel pressure, that's what got me thinking of the fuel filter. I had put new plugs in a few weeks earlier so I rechecked the coil on plug fitment, ran seafoam treatment in tank, and cleaned the crank sensor. Going for a 200 mile trip today and we will find out if it will put up a code or not. I am planning on ordering a crank sensor to keep in the van tool box just in case. I really like your travel pictures! i need to take time to upload some of mine. Going back to Glacier this August. 79000 miles and still love the van.
  3. Thanks Mark, I did go to the local dealer(not a commercial dealer) and he told me it was built into the fuel pump. He said that Nissan started this around 2008 on all of the vehicles they build. Just thinking of being in Montana this summer and getting a trash in the tank on the way. It must be OK, have not heard anyone complaining or having trouble.
  4. Where is the fuel filter and what does Nissan call it? I have searched for it by name and looked for it on the under side of my van. There is a part called a fuel strainer on the engine by the intake manifold, but it looks small. Anyone changed one yet?
  5. That is very cool! I have been thinking of doing the 2" receiver in front for a place to attach the winch when needed but I may have to copy you. Great job on the roof rack too. Did you weld to the frame or is this mount bolted in?
  6. My 2013 is a hightop, and the squeak that comes and goes is at the top rear corner. I actually had my wife drive and I pressed out on the top of the door to make change/stop. I did some shimming and oiling and still comes back sometimes. Making sure to "slam" to door also seems to help. It does it the worst when empty, the more stuff I put in it the better it does (?!), so I keep a dirt bike in there for an excuse.
  7. Keath, I broke mine backing in the shop. You can disassemble it and take it to a local glass shop and they can order a replacement for about 45.00. Its held in place by 2 sided tape that comes stuck to the mirror and you remove the paper and stick the new one on. This part is in the catalog but there are 2 sizes, just measure yours and they can order it for you.
  8. I have considered the same for mine. I would like one with less BTU power than the one in my camper (13,500) and with a heat strip for use when its cold out. The roof is plenty strong, so that is not a worry. Adding 10 more inches to the roof kills the few drive thru places i use now (haha). I say go for it and give us pictures and tell us how easy it was to do!
  9. Sampson, I got all of it from R-1 concepts. The part number of the rotors is EDS644115. They were not EBC rotors, I think they were Eline, I have not changed the back yet, but you can definitely tell a difference with just the front.
  10. That is a great ramp! I think with that arch you won't have any problems reaching the floor of the van. You may need two tie downs because its so wide(one on each side). I like how easy to use and strong the tie downs are, and they work great in the safety chain holes on the receiver hitch to the middle of the ramp. That length and arch are the ticket for loading low street bikes. I think your customers will be impressed you delivered their bike inside the van with the a/c or heat on! Need to charge extra for that kind of service...
  11. Welcome SheHaul, I use my 3500 high top for motorcycles also. I added some "grip tape" to the back and side door areas because the hard plastic is slippery when wet. I stuck it to the plastic and painted areas, it rough and holds the ramp still and feels safer climbing in and out. I use a 1000 pound folding ramp from better built. I have ridden up this ramp a 100 times on dirt bikes and a loaded KLR650. I do use a tie down to the receiver hitch to keep it in place just in case... I also use protaper tie downs in the van, best I've ever used. Hope this helps.Great choice on the NV 3500.
  12. I have Alfa for all my vehicles and home and they put my 3500 cargo on its own policy because of it being a commercial vehicle. I tried to explain my personal use but lost the argument. Never easy or cheap when dealing with insurance.
  13. John, I upgraded my 3500 before going back to Colorado this year. Last year the brakes got hot and started pulsing on the long grades, downshifted but still too much grade. I went with EBC yellow stuff pads and vented and drilled front rotors from R-1 concepts. It was around 430.00 bucks shipped to the house. This really made a difference in distance and feel! It stops so much shorter than before. I use EBC on my dirt bikes so I knew how well they performed in that environment. I would try the pads for sure, but the combo really did the job in the mountains this time. I will post a couple of pics. Hope this helps.
  14. Big Country, I bought my sliding door glass and nuts from Parts For Nissans .com. You enter your VIN and it uses that to be sure the parts fit. My VIN showed no side window and they emailed me to check the order because of the mismatch. The part shipped to my door (factory glass) was cheaper than most aftermarket windows. I actually talked to them about the factory nuts and he looked them up and sent the correct number of them to me. I will use them again. 855-348-3939
  15. We keep a Coleman flush-able potty when traveling. Works great! It's a two piece deal, the tank on top keeps fresh water and the bottom is the holding tank you dump at the campground dump station. It's lite and cleans easy and is very convenient, Well worth the 60 or so bucks i gave for it. Hope this helps.
