  1. 2015 NV3500 High Top 202,000 Miles Since I usually rotate tires every 10,000 miles, it looks like there have been about 20 rotations over the life of the vehicle. The tire guy at the local Costco noted that he had to go one size larger on his wrench to service the tires. I checked to see if the lug wrench provided with the truck would still fit the wheel nuts, and it didn't anymore, they had swollen to the point that I had to use a 7/8 socket to pull them off. (21mm is the correct size for this.) After consulting the Mighty Google, this is a common problem with lugs that have a two part construction, confirming what the tire tech told me. As I see it, you can get a larger socket to go in the truck in case of a road repair, or order new wheel nuts. I believe you can get a 21.5 mm. But then you have to carry a 1/2" ratchet. The Nissan part number for the wheel nuts is 40224-1PA0A, list $6.28/ea. I tried aftermarket without much success. The dealer parts guy noted that the Titan part is a different number, important to know, if true, because I've seen application charts on third party sites that say otherwise. I ordered the new wheel nuts from the dealer, after striking a discount for 32 of them. Still painful. I saw some on eBay, noted that they looked like the OEM, but backed away noting the listing had Titan in the title. If anyone has tried these, and they work, it would be good to let others know. Torque spec is 138ft/lbs.
  2. I was concerned that the bumper guard would affect the sensors, but was willing to turn off the parking assist to save the bumper. But the device doesn't seem to have any conflict with the sensors. The front edge of the guard is about 1/4" from the rear edge of the bumper.
  3. Thanks, Bamps. I work with a lot of fork truck drivers, some not very good, skill wise. To protect the factory part, I've got a Rhino hitch bumper guard, which has already taken a few hits. The desert look might not meet spec for the non-skill levels of some hi-lo drivers. Appreciate it, though.
  4. Thanks for the replies. Right now, the best price I've seen for the rear bumper is $443.60 from nissanpartsdeal.com. Dealer parts will come close to matching, with a prepay, non-return policy. Part #85010-9JE0A, in case anyone else is shopping for this. Yeah, I've got a set of plugs on the workbench waiting for me. The van is in commercial use, FedEx contractor to Custom Critical, to explain the high miles. No real problems except an a/c sensor that went bad fairly early, not to mention those pesky parking assist sensors. Production Date: 12/2014-08/2015Fitting Vehicle Options: V. (SV + SV/ABAGS)
  5. Greetings: 2015 NV 3500 SL 103,000 miles. Has anyone purchased any aftermarket bumpers? Are there actually any available? The dealer wants my first born child for a new one. I think I can salvage the parking sensors, not that they please me at all, as it was the sensor that misled me into backing into that rock, crimping the right side of the bumper assembly. I've been monitoring LKQ locations in my area (NC), but no vans so far. Anyway, your thoughts are appreciated. It's a great truck. Regards,Tom
  6. Thanks for posting the link. There seems to be nothing but 5 star reviews on this publication, which makes me wonder a bit. Has anyone used this recently? I'm wondering if it will cover the 2015 NV3500. I'm also looking at, but not really considering at their price, the Nissan "official" CD version: http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/product.aspx?dept_id=650&sku=SM15EA0F80CD Tom
  7. Still pursuing the topic, I DID find some available Nissan service manuals in pdf form. THe NV files are from 2013 http://www.nicoclub.com/nissan-service-manuals
  8. I'm still looking into getting the NV3500 Shop Manual. The dealer says they can't get it for me, and basically said to purchase it through the Nissan Tech site that I posted in the previous message. Interestingly, they seemed to think that purchasing price for me, as a customer, would be the same, if not less expensive than the dealer price. This was based on their experience with getting GPS updates, supposedly cheaper if the customer gets them directly, rather than at the dealership. Hmm.
  9. I just picked up a 2015 NV 3500, and was sticker shocked by the $210 price for the Nissan Service Manual CD. http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/Home.aspx Does anyone own one of these who could tell me if it's worth the price? Thanks!
