  1. Update as of 7 April 2017 on my situation. I finally got the Regional Dealer Technician to come meet me at the Ken Garff Dealership in SLC. He hooked up the diagnostic machine and let me see the error codes. It showed code P1815 that deals with the Transmission Control Module (TCM). It is currently in the shop to get that TCM Valve replaced (and fix the oil pan leak and AM Radio malfunctions). Frustrating that they did not diagnose this code that was obviously there for months. Glad my hounding of the Consumer Affairs people paid off though. I will update if I have any more issues.
  2. Daydreamin520 hit it right on! There are a ton here in Utah. My wife and I are both on 2nd marriages and we have 6 kids between us. Our Yukon was not powerful enough to tow our trailer on hills (aka trips to Disneyland), so we traded it in for this NV after 1 test drive. We had looked at Fords and Chevys, but this was so much smoother. Back to the original theme of this thread, I see at least 5-10 NVPs a day.
  3. John, Your last sentence is my exact thoughts!
  4. At the beginning, I said "Heck Yeah I'd get a new one." Now after dealing with only 2 NV certified Service sops within 250 miles and neither seems to know anything about it, I am rethinking my decision...

  6. Since the NV does not come standard with a cabin air filter, I had to use the Nissan 350Z filter recommendation. That's the first thing I learned about this NV. Part recommendations don't exist!
  7. I wish there was a way to talk to the factory! I have an issue posted on the Manual Shift thread, but Nissan Consumer Affairs is a joke! They go back to the dealer you have issues with to have them fix their issues, and since they are all independently owned, they ignore what Nissan says. Long story short, Nissan Consumer affairs still sucks and will not try to make the customer happy.
  8. So, I finally went to another Nissan dealer than the one I bought my NV at and they helped a little more. They replace the fuse and verified the wires were correct. Come to find out, it was a short in my controller. I bought a new IQ and it worked right away. Guess my fight is actually with Tekonsha about the faulty controller.
  9. No, I didn't do anything to it. The harness from the factory has 5 wires and the 3050-P only has 4 so I am wondering if that has something to do with it?
  10. I just bought a 2015 NV3500 Passenger over the weekend. When I hooked up the Tekonsha Primus IQ controller with the 3050-P pigtail, it blew the $20 blue L-shaped 3-in-1 fuse in the engine compartment. Has anyone else heard of this issue? The trailer place I asked doesn't dare work on it due to no experience with the the NV vans. The Nissan place was dumfounded by me asking about a brake controller (Utah people just want the van for number of kids...) and how to hook it up and say it'll cost $250 to troubleshoot. The only consolation was that if it's a vehicle issue it would be covered by the warranty. Any insight would be great!
