  1. Got the Nerf steps mounted, and the lift kit completely done. No w I just need to modify the steps so the step plate matches the slide door.
  2. I'm a family of 7 also, and the NV has been the best vehicle we've ever bought! The only thing I wish it had was the 5.0 Cummins diesel.... but I only desire that the 4 or 5 times a year we do some serious towing. It has made going places with the family so much easier compared to our Yukon XL.
  3. Like $650 for the Nerf bars (they were $50 cheaper than advertised because I had them shipped with no powder coating) Wheels are Fuel Mavericks, check my history and you'll see some other posts with all the specs etc.
  4. Mine fits our "Cruz-Thru" automated car washes, even with the front lifted 3". I still have to put on the blocks to raise the back up, but it looks like I'll be fine. Max clearance at the wash says 7'-3", so I'll have a whopping 1" of clearance LOL
  5. Yes, two kits... One for fogs which were H11's I believe, and an H13 kit for the headlights. They work great and visibility is so much better. They're the 35 watt kits, and as long as they are aimed correctly they are courteous to oncoming drivers. I went with the 5K color, but they are still a little too blue to my liking. I think they offered a 4300K color, but not sure. Maybe it's just the lower powered ballasts that are making the bulbs a little more blue, but they still are pretty darn white. I was used to HID's that I put on my Yukon, and when I got the NV it was actually scary to drive at night... Lighting was just horrible!!! Much safer now.
  6. I got a set of Aluminess steps for a Ford E350 and am in the process of fabbing up the mounts to get them on the NVP. Once I'm done fabricating, I will have them powder coated black, and post some more pictures. I just didn't like any of the steps on the market that are bolt on. The E350 wheel base was similar enough, and so far looks like they'll look good!
  7. It'll be a breeze!!! Mine's heavier (Forrest River EVO 2850) and it tows fantastic!!!
  8. We've had ours for 6 months and it is the best move we've made.... even coming from having a GMC Yukon Denali XL. We have 5 kids now 6 and under, and the ease of entry/exit, storage, towing capability, looks (looks bitchin IMO), and ease of working on it made it a no brainier for us. I'm handy and do most all of my vehicle work, so having a normal hood was way better than the motor being tucked in under with limited access. It also tows our 30' travel trailer great!
  9. It's not a 4x4, I wanted to raise the front for looks more than anything. Wheels are Fuel Mavericks 20x9 with 20mm offset, and Nitto G2 terra grapplers 285/55/20. Another forum member with an NV2500 had the exact same setup, so I copied him. Had to shim the sliding door with 2 washers to clear the tires. Hopefully the rear is easy. Does not being a 4x4 make my van a pre-runner LOL!
  10. I ordered some spacers to level my NV3500 from Advanced 4x4 in Utah. They measured to be 1-3/4" tall. Got them installed yesterday, so I thought I'd share some pics. They actually raised the front too high, so I am going to call them tomorrow to see if they have any suggestions to get it back down, or raise the back up an inch or so.

  12. I tapped into the fuse box on the pass side firewall to trigger my aftermarket backup camera. You could tap into that and use a relay wired to the battery to power the lights.
  13. I actually plan on putting on a stock muffler from any 2007-2013 Yukon Denali or Cadillac Escalade. They flow awesome and sound great, but are not too loud at all. I might fab my own intake or get the airaid/S&B/AFE aftermarket. You want to sell your intake?
  14. We haul a Forrest River Evo 2850. It's right around 7K lbs. and the NV tows it great. It's actually very Stable even in windy conditions. I am going to upgrade the intake, exhaust, and get the Bully Dog tuner for more power in the future. It still holds 55 mph up steeper grades with it floored :)
  15. I was searching some Titan XD forums, and they confirmed that they are using the same rear end as our NV's. 250mm rear end. I was looking into the same 250mm rear end 3.73 gears that they offer for the ZL1, and seeing if that would work. 3.90's would be just right in my NV !!!
  16. So far the only thing I had done is get a new windshield. The rubber seal around the edge started coming out, and it was covered under warranty. I also shimmed the connector on the sliding door because it wasn't locking and unlocking via power. A lot of things aren't worth taking it back to the dealer if it's an easy fix yourself. Not so easy for wife with 5 kids 5 and under to drop a car off for 2 days LOL.
  17. We got our 2013 NV3500 passenger in January, and it has been the best vehicle ever! We have 5 little kids, a dog, a travel trailer, and the NV fits the bill every step of the way. I'm located in Bakersfied CA, and found a great deal on a low mileage van down in San Diego. It's fun to see what other people have done to their vans on here!
  18. I have 20" wheels with Nitto terra grapplers 285/60/20, and I just got some strut spacers to level out the front from advanced 4x4 in Utah. The suspension stuff doesn't correlate with the trucks. I might raise the back a little after I level it with a shorter leaf spring hanger, only because I don't want it to squat when I tow the travel trailer.
  19. I installed some hidextra kits on headlights and fog lights. Very happy with the end results. My wife and I can see much better!
  20. I actually saw some pics of another owners NV2500 on this site... And got the exact same setup! They ride and tow great!
  21. I am in the same boat! I have aluminess nerf bars on the way (made for Ford econoline) that I am going to mod/fabricate to fit my 2013 NV3500 SL. I did HID lights, led interior, RVS backup camera, oem rubber front mats, 20" fuel wheels with 285/60 terra graps, and 1-3/4" strut spacers just arrived from advanced 4x4 in Utah. It's only a 2wd, but I wanted to raise the front to be level.
  22. I have 285/60/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers that are e rated. They look and perform awesome!
