  1. I'm use to domestics where it's on the light switch
  2. With the head light on
  3. I personally couldn't find the – dimmer For the dash lights . Now that being said I know read the manual stupid , Who has time for that ? Just an FYI the knob on the cluster of gauges to the right. If you push on it once and then twist it . It will dim the dash . Hope this helps someone:-)
  4. I have the v8 and yes the response seems to be better. Mileage went from 344 range to 356 after a couple of tanks of gas according to the computer. I will say though mine is a cargo van with a large two hundred pound tool box(empty) with close to four hundred pounds of tools plus bins and truck stock so it's no light weight. It also helps I don't treat it like a dog either just a slow and deliberate pedal . I am no engineer but even I know more air in the better a Motor can breath after all it is a big air pump:-) it's be a great, useful mod I'm glad I did . I've shown a few local nv owners that are very happy about it too.
  5. These vans are great but rack options right now just plain suck because the body style is so new. My racks from Adrain are ok but the ones I had on my Chevy where awesome. But that style of rain gutter mounts been out for ever. These Adrian's are low profile but the vans so tall. I can load pipe no biggie ,but that third yak in the middle would be a pia a real hair puller without scratching paint
  6. I'm no expert , however I use the crap out of my roof rack! I don't think I would walk on the roof skin its self ,but with a ladder rack you could bolt a 2x8 walk way on top of the rack and walk it that way. I know the owner of a roofing company who does his fleet like that. He's been doing it that way for years on vans with no ill effects . The only thing is all his vans are the big three . As far as load cap on the roof mine is a low top I've had 4 inch pressure pipe on the roof about 400 ft of pipe . 200 per side. If you don't think that's a lot of weight ask a plumber:-) that's a lot of weight. With no problems . I don't see why your roof with racks won't hold you and three yaks . Hell the rack that came with mine "Adrian steel" the back of the rack has a roller
  7. Did this mod and I noticed about 10 mile increase in a tank full of gas . I drove the van for two months the way it came and then I did it. The motor seems to respond better, but how much better? Don't know . I also checked the filter and way more is catching dirt now. Noise level has gone up on acceleration but I like it.
  8. I asked my dealer about it and he didn't know anything about it and mine has done it too. Me personally keep my keys in my pocket
  9. Every time I see that video it blows my mind Just how much power these things really have when you take all the limiters off the computer and how much a pro can take a chassis to its tipping point. I would have never guessed these vans could be pushed so hard and still hold its ground.
  10. Here on the coast of va I see more and more nv cargos going down the road in my area . But I live in tidewater va the most heavily populated part of Virginia . Funny though I see very few nvps .the dealer where I live is shooting them out the door. I got real lucky the commercial dealers within 5 miles of my house
  11. I guess I'll join in here my name is Wallace coulter hence the Wallyc . I just could not think of anything cool sounding. I live on the coast of Virginia near Virginia Beach and I own a plumbing company . Which prompted me to by my new van. This is a great group ! :-)

    Power Outlet

To be completely honest with you the factory inverter isn't really big enough to run much . I use it to charge my tool batteries and I also plug an air freshener in to it because I keep a drain cleaning Machine in that corner . The factory inverter is not C ompletely useless it's just if you want to run anything with a 10 amp motor on it you're going to need a bigger inverter to do it . The factory wire are not big enough for that size of a load

My inverter in my nv is 150/400 watts like yours I'm sure . I don't really know what size wire the factory are, but like most vehicle manufacturers i'm sure it's sized cording to that inverter and no larger . If you want to run a chopsaw you're going to have to get an aftermarket inverter and hard wired directly to the battery more than likely
  14. I have a low top with pipe rack 2015 nv 2500 sv with the 5.6 the dash is saying around 20 mpg mixed driving on mostly flat roads( I live on the coast of va ) sometimes more or sometimes less . But I really haven't had a chance to do the proper method yet. I'm too busy trying to drive the wheels off of it :-) oh yeah it is my company van I do have a fair amount of tools and material on it. I'm a plumbing contractor.

I have run a small shop vac but that's about it . If you want to run a chop saw your going to need a bigger inverter

    Mud guards

Thanks for the reply ended up ordering them online through my local dealer for 56$ for the front two . This is what I get for coming off a curb wrong ,but still a small price to pay compared to a totaled van because I could not back out onto a four lane road in afternoon rush hour;-)

  19. Finally got to use my air conditioning today and it seems to do the same thing without putting up her finally got to use my air conditioning today and it seems to do the same thing without putting a thermometer on lt
  20. If your plumber has any dealings with pex and I don't know too many plumbers that don't he could probably make you up something out of brass and crimp fittings for pex that would solve your problem and won't give you any problems anymore. But if it's under warranty then that's different
  21. Yeah you can't beat copper in the house but the adva yeah you can't be copper in the house but the play vantage of the plastic pipe is it can move around without hurting but if it has one of those plastic nuts that are captured it swivels all over the place yeah that's usually a spot of problems advantage of the plastic pipe is it can move around without hurting but if it has one of those plastic nuts that are captured it swivels all over the place yeah that's usually a spot of problems
  22. And if I had to take a guess I would probably say it's something simple its just a shame you have to tear the truck Apart to get to. Bummer
