Welcome! After 1 year and 10,000 miles we still love our 2016 NVP. We use it to the fullest extent including towing 6000+lbs travel trailer. We've had a few very minor issues fixed under warranty including a temperature sensor not plugged in at the factory which caused the heater to come on above 62 degrees thermostat setting. Easy to drive and we feel very safe in it. Gas mileage is horrible but oh well.

We boat and fish down here in Texas. Got the 24' boat last year, running around 5,000 lbs tow weight. http://www.suntrackerboats.com/boat/specs.cfm?boat=3859 Plus we periodically haul everyone that's going at the same time, 10+ people. It's great - boat holds 12 people and so does the NV!

I haven't driven in anything over 40-ish gusts, so may not be a good comparison. Yes, the vans have a large surface area but with mine I have not noticed any situations where I felt out of control. Thanks for the post and questions.

Strange indeed. Always solid steering in our van, couldn't ask for more in such a large vehicle. Thanks for the update.

Same here. I think it smells like ammonia, unlike any other vehicle exhaust I have smelled. Has been that way since the day I drove it off the lot new. Now have around 9000 miles on it.

I have wondered this myself. On the toll road at 85mph it is disconcerting to see 3K on the tach!

Seems to be fixed! Setting the A/C temp to 62 or higher no longer turns on the heat

I haven't picked up the van yet to verify but the service department says they fixed the issue. The say the temperature sensor was not plugged in at the factory. Interesting. On a side note, I took the van earlier this year because I could not find the brake controller wiring harness. It took the technician 15-20 minutes to figure out what was going on. At the factory they had not pulled the harness through the firewall plug. It was completely hidden and undetectable, by me for sure.

That has been one of the awesome things about owning the NVP - carrying a lot family and friends to events. We all ride in the same vehicle and it's just a completely different experience being able to converse and chat on the drive. It is such an overlooked social opportunity and chance to connect!

Update: I have service scheduled for 6/7/16 and will post the outcome.

I also have a 2016 NVP SL and do not have the predicted course lines as mentioned in the owner's manual. If I am not mistaken, we had test driven a different 2016 van when buying ours and it DID have the course lines. Can't remember for certain though.

New 2016 NVP from the dealer. I noticed the other day the front tires were sitting at 80 psi, but the load and ratings sticker on the driver door area says the front tires should be at 50 psi, and the rear at 80 psi. I can see why the rear would be at 80 psi due to towing (which I will be doing, 6K+), but the front? I wonder why the factory or the dealer set the front tires to 80 when the sticker says 50? By the way, I let out the front air and now I am sitting at 52 psi. I wonder how that is going to change my wear rate and pattern on the front, compared to if I had left them at 80.

Same issue. 2016 3500 SL. Have not complained about it yet but I should.

It may have something to do with the Auto mode. There is a 'sunload' or such sensor on the left front of the dash. I have the NVP 3500 SL so I am not certain if it is the same situation, but place the climate control system on manual, not Auto. I don't recall the exact terminology Nissan uses for all of this, just consult the owners manual. We've had our van for only a week. I vaguely remember placing the climate control system on auto and the heat came on. The system is truly trying to regulate to whatever temperature is specified. I am in Austin, TX and it was around 80 degrees a few days ago when this happened. I apologize for the disjointed thoughts. It's just a bit difficult to describe, as we've had the van for only a week. I have not had the chance to test this theory out.

My opinion- the NV is not for you, given all the possible life scenarios you need something bigger, beefier, etc. If only Nissan offered an extended 15 passenger version with a Cummins diesel! :)

My family is the new owner (or rather the bank is) of a new 2016 NV Passenger! First new vehicle we have ever owned. We went with the silver. So far we LOVE it. With 4 young boys and a large (boy) dog, we thought the NV was a bit overkill, yet when considering a suburban or another minivan, we felt it was only logical to choose the NV because we also regularly (need to) transport other family members, friends, cargo, etc. Minivans and Suburbans are a challenge due to accessibility and space, especially with adults and older children. The NV is something we will grow into. The only challenge we have run into so far is the insurance. I called our SAFECO agent the other day to add the van. I didn't have the VIN but they came back with only $28 more a month as an estimate. After we bought the van, I gave them the VIN, and now the policy has almost doubled! I discovered this only tonight, which prompted me to register on this forum to search for help. I will be contacting the agent tomorrow to see what the situation is. I may be looking for a new provider and searching for advice on this forum. My thanks to Nissan for taking the leap of faith and creating this van. They were indeed correct in thinking there is a segment of population out there in need of a van like the NV. Love the warranty, the styling, and the expected durability of this van. I anticipate it being a much more reliable purchase than our previous 2005 Chevy Uplander with (only) 132,000 miles. My personal fantasy is to see that van be crunched up by one of those crunchers at the scrap yard. Actually that may be too good of a death for it. Need to think of something more macabre....
