  1. All NVs look kinda low in the back to my eye.
  2. Man, you're good at finding these on the internet! I was able to locate the @davidbuschur pics. https://www.instagram.com/davidbuschur/
  3. Nice find. This layout looks like "Magic" with the bed across the back, storage underneath, and galley behind the driver. No shower, not sure about toilet?
  4. I couldn't find this post on either Instagram or 500px (also new to me), but I think the 5 year/100k mile warranty does include roadside assistance for the entire 5 year/100k duration. To me, this is a huge selling point and has kept the Nissan NV out in front of the competition in my search for a cargo van, despite it's limited 10 foot cargo length. Brings up a good question about the warranty coverage. Does the roadside assistance (which I ASSUME includes towing?) work from anywhere in the continental US, or do you have to be within a certain distance to a Nissan Commercial dealer? Again, thanks for posting this info, it has given me confidence that it is possible to have a wet bath/galley/bed in the NV. All three are very important to me.
  5. Thanks for posting the link. I had never seen this one, even though it seems I have searched high and low for NV conversions. This one is great at illustrating how a wet bath, bed, and galley CAN fit into the 10' long cargo area, but it also illustrates how tight it is. It looks like the galley sink does not drain to a tank (it goes straight to ground) and possibly the shower is the same? On one of the pics it says the toilet drains into a black tank mounted under the floor, but doesn't say capacity? There's only one house battery, and fresh water tanks are those portable 7 gallon jugs. Not a bad way to go, just different than permanently mounted tanks. Doesn't look like there is A/C or heat. All in all, it's an impressive build, and one that I will probably steal some ideas from.
  6. I have been waiting for the announcement of the 2017 cargo van for roughly 1/2 year. I was hopeful Nissan would make substantial improvements to the cargo van, specifically the length of the cargo area (which remains unchanged). I am very disappointed in the news brought by the press release, and am realizing that the Nissan offering probably will not work for what I wanted to do (4wd adventure van with full wet bath/galley/bed). It's too bad, because every other van manufacturer seems to offer various lengths. And, as the others have said, raising the price and an 8% fuel savings doesn't cut it. http://nissannews.com/en-US/nissan/usa/releases/nissan-announces-u-s-pricing-for-2017-nv-cargo-van-and-nv-passenger-van
  7. This is good news. Thanks for reporting what you learned while at Quigley.
  8. When IS the 2017 going to be released? I have been looking for a press release about the NV since mid-summer. Seems like a really late release.
  9. I believe the distance from bottom of seat to back door is 10 feet.
  10. Will keenly watch this thread and can't wait to hear your impressions of both the Quigley experience and the conversion.
  11. Fair question- I'm not certain. Let's just say it's not a smoking hot deal or I'd be in a plane seat.... It's a 3500, has the Quigley conversion, and it's a high top. So anyone who wants to build up a sportsmobile-type conversion on a Nissan chassis, this is perfect. Low miles. However, you are selling when the 2017s are about to drop which will have the new engine and 7 speed transmission, which supposedly will yield v6 fuel economy and, when getting the Quigley conversion, will allow a 4WD Low range. So those are the negatives. Not slighting your van, just presenting facts as a potential buyer. Tell us about the side windows on your van- I don't see mention of the windows in the other link.
  12. Hi Kevin, Any photos of the inside? How is it optioned? Thanks, Ed
  13. I'm still in the planning stage and don't even own a van (yet), but the way I'm leaning right now is powering a 5k to 8k BTU window unit (cheap) with a small Honda Inverter generator. Alot of the Ford van guys are doing this in the rear door. I think the NV would require the AC exhaust out the sidewall. 2nd choice would be powering a small mini-split AC system using the same type generator. Pioneer is one brand I've seen fairly cheap on Amazon.
  14. I wonder if the console could be removed from the van, and you use the Dometic fridge as the console? Would you be able to step over the fridge to get to the back? It looks pretty big.
  15. That's good news for anyone that needs 4WD Low gear. Thanks for relaying the info regarding the 7 spd automatic. Regarding the Quigley lift, I assume it's a 2" lift? Not cost effective? Does it cost alot?
