  5. I have a set of AT-m PF10 Kooks on my Nissan Frontier pro4x in a LT285/75E R16 and was thinking about running a set on the NV in a LT275/70E R17 when the stockers wear out even if I have to bump it 2" or so. In my wacky measurements and guesstimations, limited hack and wack would be necessisary if any. The main concern would be the slider door but I'm keeping stock rims so I should be able to squeeze them in. I run almost exclusively on desert dirt roads and these tires have great gription in these conditions.
  6. I have seen the Kodiak and have been to their site. My pocket book told me there's too many things wrong with those vehicles though. ($$$$) They can only be dreamed of.
  7. And it's in Arizona. It will sport a Titan XD drive train with the Cummings TD!!! http://www.powernationtv.com/post/our-first-ever-4x4-cargo-van-build
  8. So, we loaded up a couple sandwiches into our lunch box warmer, in jumped the "fur kids" and into the desert we went. Now I must confess, I'm not dropping into places as hairy as my 4wd Nissan Frontier Pro-4X , but none the less, I was pleasantly surprised with the performance on some of these washed out dirt roads. Can't wait to lift it and get some Kooks on it. Here's a few pics. Swansea, AZ and Planet, AZ both ghost towns
  9. I have a v6 and also have had several of the Nissan 4.0l in their Frontier pick up. The Nissan sensor for some reason does not like the oil filters such as K&N. The air intake appears to be the same as the Frontier V6. I just put a drop in in my van today. I put in an aFe dry
  10. Glad you're all ok!! Vans can be replaced and repaired. Hope the 19 yr old wasn't badly hurt too. I don't know how that could affect your value. This day and age it all goes on car fax and what not else.
  11. That really is looking good!! Excellent choice of wheels
  12. How about a Renegy power system on your roof?
  13. For one, Ford no longer makes the econoline, it now makes the transit and was considered but is more expensive than Nissan. I got severely ripped off in my last purchase of a GM product and will never buy a GM product again so Chevy is not even a consideration for me. I in fact, traded my last GM product in one my first Nissan in 1999 and have had pretty good luck with them, therefore when considering a full size van, I naturally stuck with the Nissan brand.
  14. So now, after having my new NV2500 S standard roof cargo van a week, I'm seeing similarities with my Frontier. The cabin air filters are the same, as well as the air cleaner on the engine compartment. That's a good thing as I have extra cabin filters and I believe most S models do not come with them.
  15. Thanks guys, I found it, RVS-912619P on rearviewsafety.com . Your input was awesome!!
  16. I checked the search and couldn't find this question. Has anyone installed backup sensors and camera, either Nissan or aftermarket on your van? If so, problems? Lessons learned? Etc.? I think this should be the first mod for me.
  17. Thanks, this is my first van ever but yeah, I'll post up pics of the process. It's gonna be simple/cheap and not much to it. Basically, solar 12v, 115 shore plug, bed, frig. I also have a small camping trailer that I tow with my Frontier for long term camping
  18. They did a "towing up grade" test on pick ups. Four trucks, ram, ford, chev and old Titan. The Titan and ford out towed the other two, Chevy was last. It doesn't matter to me, I will stick with Nissan if I go a truck. And yeah, on vans, I'd vote on NV's too
  19. Beautiful photos!! I've never been to that part of the country. (Mostly in southwest) thanks for sharing the pics, it's all so green over there.
  20. I got my NV down at Phnx. It was chaotic. Ive never read any about the sensor, that doesn't mean it wasn't there tho. I personally have had few probs with Nissan. I've own 2 first gen Frontiers and am on my third second gen. Then we traded the wife's little Nissan in, in ran good. I did have a computer relay go out on my 05 frontier when I had it but it was fixed free by the dealer.
  21. Thanks, we hope to. (I'm quite a ways from the old pueblo but in Az too)
