  1. That seems high for one vehicle, is this a passenger van or cargo? We have progressive, full coverage $500 deductible and pay way less then that. There was some issues when I tried to get quotes, they considered it a 'commercial vehicle' at first and we had to educate them that it wasn't. We have a passenger van btw.
  2. Thanks to this fantastic board were able to figure out what running boards would look best on our 2016 NV passenger van. :) We decided on the long/long look for the van, we liked the look of having a longboard on the driver side and passenger side it made it look more even. But after hunting around there were no how-to videos out there on how to install it for the driver side and the measurements we got from the company didn't really work for the passenger side either. We bought the Luverne MegaSteps from Radco. They gave us the best deal and we had the running boards and all the brackets in just a few days. But since we couldn't find a how to video my husband decided to make one, I will put the link here so you guys can check it out if anyone's interested in adding Luverne MegaSteps to your NV 3500 passenger van :) :) http://veganrunnermommy.blogspot.com/2016/10/luverne-running-boards-for-nissan-nv.html?m=1
  3. I thought I'd share my blog post I just did on how we got a fantastic deal on our new NV Passenger Van. We used the same tactics for our last vehicle too and it worked great! We paid over $7,000 under MSRP for a brand new 8 miles on the engine SL model NV 3500. Before a trade in was factored into it too! I'm not a dealer or selling anything, just a large family that likes to save money
  4. I'm pretty sure Nissan did not account for garage heights when they made the NV. For our 7 ft garage opening we had to modify it so that the Big Blue Beast would fit :) The trim on top had to come off, the door it self had to be raised up, the hurricane bars had to be flattened on the bottom half. The cement header had to have 1.5inches cut off and then after all that she fit!!! Has anyone else had similar issues? We aren't the 'leave the car out in the weather' people obviously
  5. Thanks guys!! I'm rather short so the long pole is for washing the whole van :)
  6. Nice!! Hope the build goes well! Our garage door entry way is just 2 inches to short  So this weekend and next we are going to be doing some remodeling to make it fit. I hope it works!! It hate seeing this beautiful car out in the weather :/
  7. This forum helped me out immensely when shopping around for a Nissan NV. All the questions I had were answered here, thanks so much! We are a family of 5 and looking forward to traveling in our new NVP :) Putting on running boards and floor mats are first priority.. then to make the garage tall enough

  12. I took ours thru the wash with great hesitation, the manager assured me it would fit. They took my antenna off an folded the mirrors in and he walked next to it to be sure. It fit!! Not every car wash will work tho and I was not keen on how hard it hit my van :( I'm looking for a long sponge pole set up to hand wash it myself. Any suggestions??
