  1. Every vehicle I have has a 36" breaker bar and a socket for the lugnuts. Using the cheap lugnut wrench that comes with the car is not something I plan to ever do again. I also have a bottle jack with a lock out. Besides that, a generic auto emergency kit, 6 in 1 screwdriver, fuses and needle nose pliers are all I have ever carried
  2. I have the 3500 v8. From Limon CO to Manhattan KS. 402 miles. Steady cross/head wind most of the trip. 1 tank of gas. Filled 25.02 gallons. Distance guestimator went from 70 miles left to flashing in 5 miles. Fuel gauge was below the zero line. I did the last 20 in a sweat but had three gallons left.
  3. Any one else regularly get stopped in parking lots and asked about their bus? At least every other day someone stops me or follows me or pulls up at a light and asks about this thing. I must admit I miss my Tundra but we needed more passenger space and be able to pull our camper.
  4. Well the takonsha Nissan adaptor on eBay works for the 2018 NV even though the listed years stops at 2015 (ish). The takonsha P3 is great but you may want to dial it down if driving on rough roads. Using the brakes and hitting a bump causes the trailer wheels to lock up. I can send some pics if desired. Super easy to mount. The hardest part was routing the wire harness to stay out of the way.
  5. Is there a difference between a 3500 with the HD badge and ones without? Both are V8. Both are SL trim. I think different years bit I can't tell by looking
  6. My 2018 NVP SL blows different temps from the left and right vents on the drivers side. I have the temps synced but it it is still happening. Does anyone else have this issue?
  7. Tiny, did you do the install yourself or have someone else do it? Any "How to" videos or pics to go along with it?
  8. Does anyone know if the standard takonsha Nissan adaptor will work with the NVP 3500? I have the factory pigtail but if I can avoid splicing things and cutting wires on my controller, that would be ideal.
  9. Are there supposed to be some sort of panel or strip on the roof over the rack mounting points?
  10. If I have any sag with my travel trailer and WD hitch, I will go with firestone airbags. I had them on my Tundra and just filled them with a little bike pump. Didn't need much, 15 psi unloaded equaled 28ish loaded. It carried so much better
  11. Mark, what model running boards did you get from steelcraft?
  12. I will look into the running boards. We got leather seats. Nothing worse than getting crushed Cheerios out of cloth ;) and we already have great seat covers. Remote start is on the list of wants, not needs so it will wait but I want something inline, not spliced and the dealer wanted over $500 which seemed a bit high... I am surprised how nice it drives compared to my Tundra though.
  13. Hi. My name is D and I just bought a NVP3500. We are expecting our 5th kid in a few months and needed a vehicle to hold the entire family and pull our camper. All our kids are still in booster seats or car seats and this was the only one that can hold them all and we can grow into. Brake controller and air bags are first on the list of mods. Anyone recommend something else?
