  1. In this case, I don't have the lock/unlock/alarm fob on me (too big to have 2 keys on my key chain for this vehicle), just the single mechanical key. Using the fob, no problem to unlock/enter (though I can't drive without the mechanical key). Using just the mechanical key, I absolutely must open the driver-side door before I open any other door, otherwise it sets off the alarm. We did have auto-start installed (press lock 3-times on the fob); wondering if this may have messed with the wiring.
  2. The alarm system in my NVP 3500 SL goes off when I use the manual key to open the sliding door, or the back door, when the car is locked. The only way I can reliably enter the car with the manual key, without setting off the alarm, when the car is locked is through the drivers side door. Is this standard?
