  1. Yeah obviously. I didnt ask to name the material. I asked HOW DO I REMOVE IT
  2. How do you remove the floor lining from the passenger side? that is not carpet, it is hard rubber.
  3. If anyone has pictures, please post. I need to feed several cables, for camera and for lights. I would like to AVOID DRILLING
  4. I would like to make a thread for those that like to find someone for help with a project that is car related. I have ideas and some tools but many projects needs at least 2 people with a desire to accomplish some technical work. So, I am in DFW in Dallas. My strong skills are electrical and trouble shooting and trouble predicting by knowledge of physics. Introduce yourself by location and your skills. and even any projects that you need do create reality from a drawing.
  5. @spacecaptain I would suggest. Warn you, to not place any battery near the cab, and even more behind your seat. What if..... you are driving r sleeping and there is a spark and then your seat is on fire? I would.............. place batteries in THICK metal, with air space of approx 5" from box to box, with a ALM inline fuse from each jumper cable, so if one battery melts, it wont affect the others. Question: Should the boxes be air tight to the cargo , with a upside down U hose to the roof , to vent out gasses? I woild like to add 2-4 batts inside the CARGO area (opposite side of where the cab is), and I dont know if the acid batts gas off. I was thinking OPTIMA Marine batts, Would they work in a car/truck? I would have the cables from the engine through the firewall, all the way to the rear to where 4 batteries would be connected, to create a greater size battery that is 12V. I will place inline fuses on each red jumper. My only question is, do batteries off gas and would it be a PITA to drill the roof to create chimneys , in a U shape , opposite of how your toilets keeps gasses from entering into your place. so water can not ENTER INTO the cargo area (unless there is a wind vortex while driving but I have a solution for that too , But I would need to draw thta. I like drawing the ideas but then I just have the urge to get up and hold power tools and have action speak louder than drawings. BTW : is there an area in the forum for specific locations, geographic? I would like to find someone who would help to create stuff on my van and I would do the same for him. MY FEAR is to make holes in the body. My STRENGTH is wiring AND installing electrical components. I think it would be cook to have CB club for that that have NVs. Just like people that own some specific cars.
  6. can you post images? so I can understand and not need to google each word
  7. I just mentioned that in a thread that I made. EVERY ALARM on amazon had problems reported. And for noise, When I find the alarm that do not fail< I will simply use a toggle switch so I can back up at 1AM if I need, and not be a disturbance or the one A hole that likes to throttle his car without pipes at 2 AM. Isn't there a noise law against people driving without mufflers?
  8. Do the extendable mirrors fold? Why didn't "they" place a height adjust in the non electrical seats? Do they think that if you do not need or have electric seats, that you are ''tall enough''? The Other technical question is more of a HAZMAT question: I would like to place 2-4 batteries inside the cargo area, enclosed in battery boxes that have vent holes. The cargo and cab are all one continuous air area. The cables would be in series connected to the main battery (neg to neg and positive to positive). I am thinking to get fiberglass MARINE batteries. Any serious input is appreciated. Has anyone found reverse alarms that work and do not just fail in weeks or months? Every alert alarm I found on amazon, had complaints. Maybe I should open a factory and deign stuff that work and work right, regardless of price-point. What are your thoughts on: Roof mounted directional cameras? one that covers the passenger side, for safety while changing lanes in higher speed. One for simply rear view but from the top. I don't think I need to draw this out. So, The battery question, reverse alarm, and roof mounted cameras, are SAFETY category. I WAS thinking to maybe place amber LED in the wheen well, and add them in line to the turn signals. Suggestions?
  9. HI , I just found the site. What are the threading sizes for the holes on the top on the roof for mounting? Would it be safe to use extra batteries that are inside enclosed containers with vent holes for batteries, and place them inside the cargo area? The cab and cargo have no separation. The dealership service manger where I bought this, says that I should wait until 12,000 miles to have an alignment. I felt the misalignment on day zero (the day I signed). He said that it needs to ''settle'' and then call for alignment at 12,000 miles. I feel .unsafe and sick in my stomach to know the tires are not aligned (the wheel needs to be steered way to the L in order to begin driving ahead and straight , from a stop. WHAT TO YOU THINK? (The manager seems to avoid my calls). When the service manager said that it needs to wait so many miles, was a face to face conversation with him and the sales MGR. I have not even had it for a month. What would YOU do? I don't wanna piss off the sales MGR. Is this a proper place to discuss electrical ?
