  1. Hello ,My van is well loved and no matter where Ive been van lovers tell me how nice my van looks ( Burgundy ) Love my van , but after going through months of mechanics, both dealer and expert local mechanic scratching their heads I dont know if its time to part ways. 100,000 miles and the dash abs lights have been on for sometime. At first off and on and at the dealer, who had it gone over each time and could find noyhing. One gut even kept it and drove it home. Nothing .Then this year after a couple of years of this, it stayed on all the time. dealer kept it a week. said over 6 grand; replace the rear axel as the module was replaced. Took it to my local guy. He had it over 2 weeks too. Cant see inside the whole to see the ?teeth? and doesnt know what it might cost if he could figure it out since no parts to be had? He said well it seems fine I'd drive it.Not what the dealer said. In looking at used vans or leased the numbers are staggering, since parts and vehicles are hard to come by. One gut sold his van for a lot of money because of that. A used van with alot of miles sold new at 32,000+ was recently sold online I saw it sell for almost 50,000 and it was several years old. They say this is the highest mark up of all autos in history. Still I dont know what to do about mine. I probably could sell it for more than its worth, I do love it, but the mechanic even said your problem may not even be fixed if you replace the rear right axel.Has anyone had this issue? Is it common? I thought Id get at least another 100,000 miles if not 50,000. I dont know about ford or ram but I remember they werent as comfortable. I used to have a Savana, maybe thats the way to go.
  2. Do the extendable mirrors fold? Why didn't "they" place a height adjust in the non electrical seats? Do they think that if you do not need or have electric seats, that you are ''tall enough''? The Other technical question is more of a HAZMAT question: I would like to place 2-4 batteries inside the cargo area, enclosed in battery boxes that have vent holes. The cargo and cab are all one continuous air area. The cables would be in series connected to the main battery (neg to neg and positive to positive). I am thinking to get fiberglass MARINE batteries. Any serious input is appreciated. Has anyone found reverse alarms that work and do not just fail in weeks or months? Every alert alarm I found on amazon, had complaints. Maybe I should open a factory and deign stuff that work and work right, regardless of price-point. What are your thoughts on: Roof mounted directional cameras? one that covers the passenger side, for safety while changing lanes in higher speed. One for simply rear view but from the top. I don't think I need to draw this out. So, The battery question, reverse alarm, and roof mounted cameras, are SAFETY category. I WAS thinking to maybe place amber LED in the wheen well, and add them in line to the turn signals. Suggestions?
  3. Hello everyone. I'm Jana and I bought a 2017 Nissan NV 3500 high top brand new a month ago. Using it to safely transport our rescue dogs and family circus show (Circus Stella, named after the dog!) We already have a problem. The sliding door won't open. We have no idea what happened. It was working fine, and now it's just not. It feels like it's locked, even though we're sure it's unlocked. It won't budge. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions of what to do? We have the manufacturer's warranty to fall back on (hopefully) but we added some sound deadener and insulation. That sort of thing won't void the warranty, will it? The van was SO LOUD in the back, we added some "rattletrap" to lessen the noise. That was simple and easy and has been on for weeks with no problems. I cannot imagine it has anything to do with the broken door. This is such a bummer. I've never had a new car before, and stuff like this is exactly what I was hoping to avoid by buying new.
  4. Need help from someone on this one...it started with my son and a small toy. My son brought his toy into the Nissan NVP 3500 2012 SV. He dropped it, perfectly, into one of the floor openings (notches). Need/want to get it out and was wondering if anybody knows of a way to access underneath the floating floor.
