  1. I'm actually a carpenter moving from pickup topper to NV cargo/overland conversion. Can you tell more about your first experience and what would you change or now are looking for in 2nd, beside V8 and 4x4 (me).
  2. Thanks for info. I'm not an off roader, just want options to trailheads and campsite, as well as winter weather tackler. I talked to TD and they have options for the ladder to top....
  3. The fact that there is not much negativity about TD out there speaks volumes. Factory based parts is also a huge plus. Given most rigs end up over $50K plus, it's still a great deal. I don't plan on 4x4'n but want the cold weather options as well.
  4. one silver one one sale here with 35K fyi.
  5. Good choice to walk away; $375 is a far cry/scream/holla/death rattle from $70K. I most likely will not be going new. I'm looking around for a used one and then will convert. Most likely around 75K miles. That way, with the purchase and the 4x4 TD upgrade, I'm coming in around $40K AND, as a carpenter, I can do most/all of the camper conversion myself.
  6. I have a great first gen 4x4 Tundra, 120K miles 2006, looks better than new and I've added some modern options. I primarily use for work as carpenter. However, after a few years of climbing and storing in and out of the topper'd back, AND wanting to travel and work (and light off road motorcycling), I researched and researched. And that brings me here. I'm thinking of a Tim Dahle conversion high top, V8. Not only do I like the styling of the NV but it's a dual purpose vehicle for me and the TD conversion is factory based. Putting up my truck for sale soon or trading it in, but ready to make that move.
  7. Hola, Just interested in the highs and lows of this vehicle. Why are you selling and what challenges did the High Top have as 4x4?
  8. Yo. I am looking into Tim Dahle conversion's as well. How did you go about getting one in Alaska?
