the nissan 3500 has more leafsprings then the 2500
-
agreed, i have also seen vehicles out of alignment from the factory.

welcome, there are so many different aspects for MPG, such as climate, load, driving style, etc thats why you get so many varying reports. I have a 2012 NV 3500 V8 constantly loaded with about 2000lbs and a ladder rack with 2 ladders and i see around 13.5-14 MPG.. live in PA in a very hilly area and have been seeing this mileage in temps in the 60-80 degree range.. that MPG is better then my ford box truck getting about 8mpg

I dont even think my van has lumbar support, but i havent had that happen before
-
to resolve odd tire wear start with getting an alignment at a good alignment shop... not at a Just Tires or Pep Boys
-
i agree with everything you said, especially the steering feel. I am impressed with the easy soft steering of this van. I have a backup cam too and its awesome for lining up the ball and hitch

maybe climb onto the roof and lay down and polish away

Decked out Nissan NV, Must SEE!!
KMGLTZ replied to scottclarknissan's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself!
they should probably fix the video because they say it has a 5.7 liter engine.... its a 5.6 liter engine -
get a leftover

the people at the nissan dealerships are useless when it comes to the NV's.. your better off looking up info online. these vans have been proven to be pretty reliable so far.. not to many on the road yet so its hard to tell. as far as capability, they are pretty good. the V8 is a great tow rig, and is decent on gas and powerful. I like mine so far, only has 7500 miles on it though. its definatley better then the ford or GM vans you sound like a suburban 2500 would be a good choice for you..
-
you could try Dynomat or spray on foam insulation
-
supposedly Nissan is cutting great deals on these vans because they want to sell them badly to break into the market
-
Does anyone know what diff these vans have stock? its someone told me they have limited slip... dont think thats true though.. i got my NV for 24k before tax and tag new
-
all depends on what type of work you do.. these vans are great to drive and the V8 is powerful.. but they are not that great on gas. if your looking for a fullsize van only, out of the other big 2 vans, (ford and GM) this is the best

Wants to buy a NV for mobile office

i was thinking spray foam too, but i can cover it and it will be ugly\ i agree, when i was look at vans, out of the other big 3, (ford, GM, sprinter) the NV drove the best and was signifigantly cheaper You should probably get a 3500 NV with all that weight, my 3500 NV is constantly loaded down with about 1500lbs of equipment and i notice a little sag.. cant imagine what all of that equipment would make it do. -
that is very suprising you wouldnt need to add anything for that weight. i havent had to tow that much weight, but ive towed about 2500-3000lbs plus mine is constantly loaded with about 1200lbs and it rides great.. pretty impressed. the lowtop NV is a very stable vehicle..stays planted on the road well
-
if i remember correctly for some reason only the 2012 NV's have the MPG, range, etc. for some unknown reason they took it off the 13's... probably so everyone wouldnt see the bad MPG. the lack of a master light switch is very annoying

i assume you got a high top NV? would love to see pics of your project.. im sure everyone who uses their NV's for work have some good tips. curious as to what your going to do to insulate the NV.. I have a pressure washer mounted in my NV and would like to keep it warmer in the winter -
got a 2012 left over also.. 2012 low top 3500 v8 got about 7500 off sticker
-
http://www.quigley4x4.com/ its around 10k
-
i rhino lined the back of my NV.. good stuff. not sure exactly how to reset the airbag light but you could try to disconnect the battery for 10 mins
-
keep chains in the back for emergencies only.. you can get good chains for around 100$ an any autoparts store
-
probably will be extremely pricey from the dealer... i doubt they are even out yet but im sure there will be cheaper factory knockoff heated mirrors for sale online somewhere
-
the only thing i would tow with an NV200 is a log splitter... would not reccomend towing with one of them. it would be dangerous to tow more then 500lbs with it.
