  1. That you for the tow report. I tow 95 percent of the time with my tundra for a living. Still have not pulled the trigger on a nv. Nice to know it tows good!
  2. Only saw the news that the 5 liter cumming diesel will be offered in the , "next gen titan" Not sure if it will be a 2014 or 2015. You would think they will be putting it into the nv maybe a year after the pick up truck. That would make sense to me but... Not sure if it would be an easy drop in the nv since the nv shares the old gen titan plaform. Maybe the new gen titan gettng this diesel will be much different platform. I can't wait to see performance numbers especially towing, price, mpg.
  3. What did they charge to convert the NV into 4wd???
  4. ^^^ Is that a 4 x 4 sticker on the van???
  5. I'd say not all of them. NV hightop is 9' foot tall A lot of drive thru fast food joints are 8' 6" or 9'even
  6. Matt that started this thread is on strike three. 1 post asking for a price in this thread. 1 email asking for a price. 1 phone call to his cell, brief conversation about asking for a price, then never heard back from him.
  7. I'd like a better price then other dealers! Silver, 3500, hightop, SV, tow package, rear windows, side window on slider
  8. Didn't do it. It didn't have factory tow package. No tow mode button, front tow hooks, etc... Dealer installed the hitch. Salesman also changed price on me, putting bad taste in my mouth.
  9. I found one in white. I'm 50 / 50 if I gonna do this tomorrow. If I do, I'll post up.
  10. Good luck! I called my local dealer for one today & said he would have to order it. 3500 SV, tall boy, silver, windows, tow package
  11. Well... How's the new van??? How does it tow?? How many miles on it now? Feed back! Price you paid? MPG???
  12. Ran into a couple from Canada yesterday using their low top, 6 banger NV as a tour bus. They said they love it but only average 15mpg. I'm thinking the high tops are really getting the worst mpg. I bet the 6 cylinder vs 8 is close to the same mpg. I've been seeing the passenger NV's on the dealer lots now. I'M gonna go test drive one. I drove a high top & didn't like it. A lot of road noise & we sure were getting blown around breezy, day going day the interstate. One worry is would the 5.6 passenger NV tow better then my 4.6 Tundra DC longbed?
  13. I've been living in Florida for 7 months now & I've only seen 3 NV's on the road. The one I saw the other day was a, "Rooms To Go" company van. I'm thinking your gonna see some bigger companies buy them to test reliability, next to their other older vans in their fleet. Companies do track maintenance & repair costs. Like say a sprinter van vs express or econoline. Their also gonna be looking at fuel mileage. Toyota or Nissan needs to come out with a hybrid powered work van. I think it's safe to say that the Nissan NV is not selling. This forum would have a lot more members by now. I've been hoping to see more on the road, myself.
  14. That mileage sucks. I hate to say it but think the NV is going to fail. Have not seen them on the road & they just sit at the local dealership not selling in this bad economy. A lot of tradesman can't afford a new van. Toyota should bring their diesel vans to the states.
  15. So far only driver & passenger seat in the commercial cargo vans. Nissan is supposed to release a passenger van with more seats & windows to use as airport shuttles or church vans, etc... I think the cargo van should have a option for a 3 seat up front.
  16. "Fully loaded" How much weight?
  17. I think they did it right. 6 banger for a light duty 1500 series. Option of V6 or V8 in the 2500 Most 2500 and all 3500's will have the 5.6 V8. The new NV is based on the Titan platform but I'm disappointed that the NV does not have rack & pinion steering. It's Heavy duty traditional linkage, recirculating ball set-up. My Tundrta drives sweet with the rack & pinion. No steering play. Less parts to wear out. Nissan also needs to catch up to Toyota & have a 6spd auto tranny, instead of their 5spd. Make the manual paddle shifter switch on the column bigger like in my Tundra. Nissans shift switch is tiny. I've always have had chevy vans but bought the Tundra pick up for reliability. Miss having a van for many reasons & I'm considering the NV.
  18. Not everything. I would have liked center console delete with the option of having a center seat for another passenger / worker. Be able to do Home depot runs with wife & child aboard. If I get a NV, I'll probably have to bolt in a extra captain chair like I did in my Express van or use the D-hooks to ratchet strap a removable bench seat from a min van.
  19. Please post pics & post up your experience getting to know your new NV. I'm considering a hightop 3500 loaded. Curious how much ya paid OTD?
