Keep an eye on your calipers. I have a 2012 with 30K miles and I have three calipers sticking. Don't know if its a defect in these

For those who are wondering. I took my paasenger seat of its rails today to get ready for the parts arrival... The seat can not be simply turned around. Hole spacing it's different front and back

The northern tool one has three problems. First its not DOT approved, so don't get in a crash second there is no central wire pass thru so you may have to unhook your airbag wires every time you swivel. Lastly its too small. its only 11.94 inches across our seats are fairly wide at the rails. welder is needed to modify it or at least two adapter plates need made to make it wider and bolt in

I am wondering if there company is having some trouble... I tried calling and the answering machine said they were not taking calls today. So I emailed them as instructed by the message, He didn't answer any of my questions about the product just said they were sold out. Also got a bad email address message in the same email thread(?). The website says "we maintain a continuous stock of these" And yet they are sold out for the rest of the quarter? EDIT: I placed the order anyway. I got a call a few min later from a gentleman making sure I understood that I will not be able to use the center console. He also had numerous tips on working around the loss of the center console. He assured me that the German made swivels are a top notch product and i will be happy unless I liked using the console. I'll let you guys know when it gets here

BTW swivels r us is sold out. Told me to check back late fall.

$600 is hard to swallow. I really want to make this happen though since it would greatly increase the room when in camping mode... I could have my bed down and still have a place to sit and put on shoes, read etc... Might have to check out northern tools one... BUT crash safety is important. It is interesting that the NV's swivel is double what the other ones cost.... ?

OMG thats amazing! adds another seat to the read cabin. My old ford econoline had this as an option but this really opens up options for my NV camper!

Ok I don't know if my nissna dealer was lying to me or just didn't know but the four wired plug was the brake controller. And I was able to buy a $9 sub harness from UHAUL for a 2007 Nissan Titan that fit and had the correct wires.
-
I think I may have found the thing it was taped up behind the E brake peddle. BUT It had a red blue black and GREEN wire.... Is that the plug where the sub harness will plug into? Edit: I bought a harness for a 2007 nissan truck and it fits the plug. Looks like the colors are off but the guages look right... Just check for hot wire while the brakes are being pushed? the second one should have continuity through the 7 pin hitch?

remember, a lot of clearance issues are not the structure itself, but may be a drainage pipe that hangs down on the third floor. Go slow and keep watching the clearance

thanks! looks like its time to get the plasma cutter out and start fabricating -
Spent some time with a roll of reflectix, fiberglass mat, and 3M 77 adhesive. I don't know how much it helps but every little bit helps with holding heat in right? My plan is to finish the roof with a 1/4 mdf panel and pack fiberglass between the panel and reflectix. The side panels i'm not using reflectix since it would be hard to get into the holes.... I could use it if it will help I guess. My plan was to close in the wall areas with 1/4 inch plywood as well over the fiberglass.

All well and good.... but whats a manual?
-
the bench seat is made by Moduline and distributed by RB components, we put in a subfloor of 3/4 inch marine plywood that we can screw into. but as long as you miss the fuel tank with drilling you can probably move brackets around to move seats.
-
is this for a passenger version? where will the tv be viewed from? if multiple rows also think of obstructions to the view. Our bench seat in the back runs along the drivers wall so we were able to use a articulating arm on the rear left quarter for our Tv. That way we can swing it out and watch tv from outside on a nice night too. Oversize all your brackets... They dont factor in bouncing down a road into weight limits. Also as with any mobile electronnics keep an eye on TV power consumption. There is a vast difference in power used between different models ours uses about 23 watts i believe.

I did find the part numbers for those plugs, it is in the body builders manual http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/refgh0v/og/bbg/2012-2013-2014-nissan-nv1500-2500-3500-cargo-van-bbgv1.pdf Pg BBG-129

if you use the whole roof you can get maby 5-600 watts of solar(recomend Renogy) on this roof. I would recommend a vent fan because it can become an easy bake oven in there. LED lighting is where it needs to be these days I have two http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/truck-trailer-led-lights/56-round-dome-light-led-fixture-with-3-position-switch-/1273/2949/ and i can read in the back comfortably. Four would be as bright as anything would need. back up honda quiet generator for cloudy days or when using high amperage. My 300watts of solar runs the fan 24hrs a day, LED lighting, and two hours of TV watching. But i don't know if that's sustainable 5 days a week. -
call up Topper, I'm sure Bruce is working on, or can build you anything you need. http://www.toppermfg.com/ 800-776-7020

I was looking around my rear cabin and didn't see any cutouts for rear speakers. Are there pre made mounts? maby i already covered them over with stuff. ah i think i found them in a schematic.... above the wheel wells? yup covered lol

Np, BTW I did flip that dome light around to the other side of the beam in case you were trying to figure out where that pic was taken. the dome light use to sit where the fan is now.

Do you have pictures of said armrests? Maby the vans with center console didn't get armrests?
